  1. Dan I had thought as it was to be an ex forces truck having a second life on a farm . It would have different colour panels that the farmer had to replace to keep it going . Maybe some primer here and there with rust showing through. I do have a green that would be close to Park ranger green so who knows
  2. Thanks Nathan The body work is coming along now so I should be able to reprime it . Then I will have to decide what colour I want it
  3. I will be watching Dan . Interesting for sure
  4. Fantastic job I have a hard top to finish one day I don't think I could come anywhere close to fine work you did Steve . But I will try
  5. Fantastic work John . I hope your surgery goes well Happy new year buddy
  6. Some super detailing going on there John . I like the tubes and end caps . Those cables are tiny
  7. Thanks Frank The vinyl roof was a pain in the butt . It took 3 attempt's to get mine looking close enough . The 1/1 car has Gator grain pattern . But I wasn't going to try and copy that
  8. Thanks Frank I still have some work to do on the interior . Once I get the hood finished and painted I can get it all put together . I'm also going to make new glass all around
  9. I am thinking Ex forces farm truck shop truck
  10. The body work is well under way now. .The tail gate has hinge pins and is primed. I still don't have a clear picture of what this will be. I just want to get the body work ready then I will see what colour I want it to be so I'm open to ideas
  11. Well after 3 goes at the hood I think I'm getting there with it. I had originally used a brass rod to do the peak in the hood but I had problems with it so it was stripped back and after seeing a tip on here about drilling a hole at the top and bottom . Then stitching plastic rod through gluing down first with a drop of super glue Then just put a bit of tension on the other end and then fill and sand. I have just got to fill the pin holes then it will be going back to my painter friend John . I have now started adding back detail on the inside of the hood . I only have to do the top and bottom ribs as the 1/1 has insolation so this will cover the rest. I plan to use a rare earth magnet to hold up the hood . So I will have to plan where to put it behind the bulkhead Comments welcomed
  12. Mark that's cool . I was looking at the rear bumper today . Cant decide if to have the rounded one or the square step . I thought about mounting the rear bumper on brass rods so if I get around to making a camper I can swap later .
  13. Dan thay are nice and yes it would be a lot easier without the bumps on the cab .
  14. That is really well built Mark . I like the off road bike . How did you attach the frame to the rear?
  15. Thanks guys Mark That is a nice Dualie I would also like to say I love the camper in the rear too . I have been looking for the camper kit forever and I have never had the chance to get one . I may try to scratch build one for this build The body is still being sanded Tail gate will get primed next then I can drill for the hinge pins
  16. This is the first coat of primer . Most of this will be sanded off to get the body perfect . The tailgate has been stripped of most of the old paint just the small amount in the corners then this will get primed also. Next I will be filling the body the roof mainly . Their is still a lot for work to do to get the door frame correct on the rear doors . But we are making progress Feel free to comment Thanks
  17. Did you ever finish this KILLER WASP Dale ?
  18. Nice Daytona although I would not want to try and park one in a garage like that
  19. I am going to stay at about this height I think I'm not a big fan of the high 4x4 trucks . But I would like to do it as a 2x4 stock height . I am hoping to get a bit of work done to the body tonight
  20. That Road Runner is sweet
  21. I was missing the tailgate for the Dodge and (426 Hemi) John was in the proses of casting me one . I was digging through a parts box that I got from ebay a loooooong time ago and low and behold there right at the bottom of the box is a tailgate for the bed . I just have to repair the hinge pins strip the paint and its good to go. It just goes to show that buying a random box of bits can pay off
  22. Nice work your dad would be very proud
  23. I would have to say this is the rarest I have built. Given to me buy Richard Manson as a Christmas present . I know some wont like the wheels but I did keep the originals safe so if I do decide to build it stock one day I can
  24. That was the main reason for me doing this build because I couldn't find a resin cab
