  1. At least we're posting models instead of the other recent garbage that's been going on
  2. Only one I have, Revell '67 Charger.
  3. Which kit is that?

Nice work... on the cars and the photography! What did you use for lighting?
  5. got something similar in the works... fitted the larger wheels from a 365 Daytona to mine. May leave the bumpers off.
  6. Nice work!
  7. After seeing what you do with 1/24 and 1/25 scale, I would love to see what you do with one of these!!
  8. I really dig the way yours turned out, looks great!! Here's one I did a few years ago with that setup, along with the air cleaner from the 1/16 Mustang coupe kit:
  9. I use the backside of a poster taped to my kitchen counter, and the overhead florescent kitchen lights, with the camera on a tripod. But, Alex Kustov has a great tutorial on a home built photobox that I am gonna try out: http://italianhorses.net/Tutorials/Photo%20Booth/photobooth.htm
  10. Lanai is a fancy word for transplanted yankees in FL... we "crackers" call em porches
  11. Got any pics of the cases you built?
  12. Yep, need the numbers too. All the decals were on the car except the last two roundels when it went south, so I'm not really wanting to mess with masking and painting. Good stuff at the link though, thanks!
  13. Go Pat go! Cool project!
  14. AAAARGH!! Settled in at the bench for a decal session, and was almost done when one of the number roundels from the Ricambi sheet shattered when it hit the water and released from the paper. At some point, the sheet had been creased, but had been laying flat for so long that it didn't show up, until it got wet. Only had the two side roundels to go to finish it. So now the little Scarab is on hold indefinitely until I come up with another pair of roundels that are close enough to the ones already on it. Ain't models fun? And the needed decal:
  15. I took a dim view of these simple curbsiders for a long time, then I built the old Academy Ferrari 250LM, and gained an appreciation for them. Also have the old Monogram Chaparral 2D slot/curbsider in the pile, and wouldn't mind getting the old Monogram Ferrari 275P slot/curbside kit.
  16. Thanks guys! The dummy engine insert is made from resin trumpets left over from the Fisher Ferrari 512s kit and scrap plastic with the trumpets raised to the same approximate angle as the carbs in the Corvette Grand Sport kit.
  17. Not to mention his service, which in my case was top notch in dealing with an issue I created (uh, I screwed up... ).
  18. Nice! Those Fisher kits are fun, gonna have to build another one, sometime...
  19. you are correct
  20. Been working on this for a while, and made some more headway on it today. It's the old Monogram SSP reissue of the Mid Engine Scarab slot/curbside kit. So far, I've opened up the front wheels, and built new rear wheels using a pair of the slot car inserts and parts box rims: Fitted the dash panel from the long OOP Ricambi detail set (Thanks to Nicholas Henson!) and made a rollbar from aluminum tube: Cut out the rear of the body and made a new screen from some PE mesh and .010" sheet: Painted it Viking Blue (can also see the dummy engine insert installed): And got the stripe masked and painted this afternoon: Could have this one wrapped up in a couple days.
  21. Beautiful build!! Still haven't found decals for the car I want to build, but yours sure is inspiring. Nice work.
  22. There's some extras on this disc, but the main thing for me is that's in widescreen, for widescreen TVs. I hate having to stretch 4:3 pans/scan to fit my screen...
  23. The Wraith was re-released to dvd in widescreen (1.85:1) a couple weeks ago! Picked mine up at Walmart, but Best Buy is also carrying it. There's an older DVD release out there from the late 90's, but it is a 4:3 pan & scan for a CRT TV.
  24. Very nice!! And I thought I was the only one retarded enough to do that paintjob...lol!
