  4. awsome result , congrats on finishing i love it
  5. awsome job , looks smooth already
  6. thnx wayne !! i gave the wheels a second wash , to make them a bit more rough , the white walls got a wash with oker color , a bit between brown and yellow (more towards yellow) this was really a perfect tone between the brown of the body and the red of the wheels and ... the oil paint has completly dryed , now you guys can see the final look of oil paint , its now reallt matte and all the gloss is gone .. too bad these are pics in evening light , in daylight it looks better on picture .. but it came out awsome .. on the body you really see how matt the wash has become and just blends in more with the body base color .. i will make some daylight pics tomorrow so you can see the colors more how they really are
  7. trust me the floor looks ace , bricks .. i dont think they look bad , if you want like that old look they dont have to be exactly the same , especially with some washes and stuff on the walls ... great job
  8. hmm thats sad .. but whell now you know never to buy them anymore .. they do look quit handy to me , would be great to use as like industrial looking things on rod bodys or like hinges (non working) the other parts can be like vents or .. maybe you can even use them on a engine in some sort .. just trow them in the partsbox they may come in handy some day
  9. that sir .. is perfect .. i know this kit in and out , i made like a hotrod styled coe of it but i know the lay out and parts and .. the paint is just stunning ... the funny thing is those opels where never ever that nice from the factory hahaha , but seeing it like this flawless wth a uber shiney paint job that looks stunning i actually seen these in real life , unrestored and restored ... they where pretty common here in holland in those times .. no i'm not that old (not young wither) but i have sen them in small museum collections
  10. that roof _____ whow how awsome love the work on the patina as well but the roof is tasty as ..... would be cool to see a weathered , worn , patina paintjob like the roof , so the design of the roof all over a car but with patina and worn off in places ... barnfind lowrider
  11. thnx all !!! hey , no not using anything i just used it right out of the tube ... i was also wondering what would be best to make the oil paint thin ... i did not need to , but when you want to use it to let it flow into seems and stuff that could be handy indeed edit > i googled it and they say white spirit works fine , also lots of other werid stuff but thats more for painting paintings haha thnx !! and just try it its super easy
  12. nice job !!!
  13. thnx the glue is called platic weld from plastruct (brand is plastruct) its awsome stuff because it will glue almost every type of plastic and also glue difefrent types together like abs , butyrate acrylic etc .. most important is to sand the plastic before glueing , styrene doesnt need that but harder types of plastic need some pre sanding takes a liitle longer to set (not a lot) but then its great website > south wallace place , city of industry (just googled this for you ) over here in holland its pretty available .. btw they also seem to sell styrene and plastic just like evergreen
  14. whow that interiour really works well !! awsome love the gold also btw
  15. thnx matt and yes the exosed welds are way cool , maybe also would be cool to add some but painted over .. and thnx arno , yes indeed i was amazed myself how cool that came out
  16. oooh thats so tasty !! love it !!
  17. some black paint on the underside and axle , used a cue tip with paint on that just transfered a tiny amount the body everything together in the daylight
  18. i'm on a roll lol last thing for today > starting to come to life , gave the chrome of the front suspension a wash painted the radiator and leaf spring black , the leaf spring will get some washes and letal effect later on real fiddely but do-able painted the airbags matt black seen from the bottom from the top evening pics dont really show the difefrence in tones with the chrome i will make some daylight pics later on
  19. yes rene i use like those small tubes they use to paint oil paintings , they are widly available in so many shops ... we have stores called blokker where you can buy household items and they sell sets and they cost almost nothing dit the chassis tonight with the oilpaint and man , i was amazed by the depth at the rear ... started to paint the first chrome items pins of the hinges of the doors in chrome and seen through the window the chrome look real cool also did a small part of the driveshaft and the bar above the petrol tank , washed that a bit so it was not to clean and shiney and matches the rest better front suspension and the ford logo on the grille in chrome , that needs some washes to match the rest betetr and become less shiney and add depth and seat wise i have looked at some cool bomber seat pictures on the net and i will cratchbuild some bomber seats later , alu look with padding to sit on
  20. thnx guys and yes dr crancky it def will be finished always finish my builds before starting a new one and the weld idea is something i have been thinking about doing , can easely be made with polyester bondo afterwards and thnx ira !!
