great progress ~! -
start of an old looking airpump , compressor under it , the circle will house a to be determened brand of gasoline (logo)
-
added extra protection / crash poles beside the main roof supports and already did some read painting scale reference picture
-
rough strat of the nozzles also did the lines in the raised concrete part where the pumps stand on , would be nicer spread out even over the raised part but that was not a option anymore
-
and whell sort of the idea what it will be , still need to add detail , like the fillerguns , logos etc... then took some shots outside in better lighting
-
glued in a brass tube where the hose slides in to , used a thicker brass guitar string as on the previous pics painted everything a base red with enamel paint and a hand brush , also did the fuel over so its covered more looking trough the glass its a nice effect
-
went on working on the pumps today made tops from old backsides of rims and used steel pins to make the rods that hold the top on on the left a gitair string i will be using for the hoses made round tops and some sleeves on the bottom where the hose will come

hmm interesting , all that i'm stating below isnt a direct reaction on whats written in this topic , no its not its a general idea about the bigger picture , since these subjects are all over the internet and world ... sadly this is a chewed out discussion , the whole internet is full of discussions about car styles . either its rice , rat , donk , import , and so on ... in the end its all a matter of taste ... so you either like ik or not , i myself can say (and price myself lucky) that i like a whole variety of styles , i love old vw's , i love shiney hotrods , i love ratrods , love trucks , musscle cars and yes i love oldskool and newskool import cars , so like the drift / camber and vip style ... there are a lot of things i dont like such as the donk style and other over the top stuff loaded with needless spoilers ... but if they love it > hey thats cool .. i just think its funny that over the past few years the ranting on styles has become so big , its like people try to force their opinion on others and have to convince everybody and need to hear that its as bad as they think it is .. isnt that whats happening in the world and with that i dont mean only car-related ..think abaout that my vision is , first of all if we all would like the same stuff .. whell it would become really boring .. imagine a world where we would all live in the same house , drive the same car etc etc etc .. ooh that would be a nightmare haha and second .. we should respect eitch other opinions more .. and think more in terms of live and let live .. oh and btw i dont like rat style because its a hype i just love the looks .. and personally i prefer to call it vintage looking hotrods > functional pieces of art that for a change dont have to shine to steal the show its not all gold that blings ____

great result !! -
ps i saw some cool stuff in here !! that made me think the servicestation i'm building now is also scratchbuild haha .. and i'm doing a nother concrete floor on this one , only difference its outside still in the begin fase with building > the only thing not sratchbuild is that roof , that came of a toy gasstation (will be altered later on) oh and a rough start on some old glass top pumps , will get wat more detail , only made of glue caps and 2 pens , oh and the rods of 2 cuetips hahaha scratchbuild chassis and rear suspension with airbags for my current project > ford tudow , chopped the top and chenneled the body , opened up the roof oh and the supercharged v8 is about 80% scratchbuild

i just loved this text hahahaha btw the reason i didnt make cracs was more the fact it looked overdone , like too much .. i did some but later filled them again .. it looks too artificial .. still thinking of making a real concrete floor for the next garage dio ... cant get any more realistic then that right
-
tonight i went on with the floor (yes its evening over here lol ) peeled of some of the top layer of the wood put some bondo on with a cloth and washed some dark grey in then i washed the floor with bondo and a cloth , buffed most off and added washes with rust brown , oker yellow .. and downtoned the washes so not one color was dominant in a way it stood out too much better vieuw close up and testmade some weeds at the bottom , will make more but for now its to fragile to work on the rest , i also have some other stuff for weeds close up
-
just look at stuff differently arno hahahaha .. its also fun to use the weirdest stuff to build something and yes .. i know what you mean , well the pumps will get way more detail , and a round top and ... details first started on the pump area concrete floor , made it look like square concrete slaps .. this is only the rough start , will need way more work to look more like concrete , and i will also put some weeds in the creeses
