  1. thnx guys and tom > hahaha yes i know , holes / glue .. i def need to buy a new mat hahaha
  2. added a strip on the end looks better then lookinh at the ends of the wood , sclae wise you could easely drive over this .. also did a strip in the middel > adds depth a bit too maybe instead of just lifting and using ramps i could make a system to put it down like this !!
  3. the floor is done > used 1mm thick real hardwood veneer strips ... the bed is wedge shapen so i started in the middle of the bed with a straight line and worked my way to the sides .. left and right the last verneer strips are cut to size in the wegde shape .. now the wood runs straight i will also try to drill holes and make steel plates with rings for straps
  4. thnx guys .. whell headlight lenses are in , front window is in and now working on a real wood floor on the bed from real real thin wood .. almost doen and i can tell you it makes such a difference , already looking much more realistic .. i think when i'm done with other stuff ... i will finish the floor and post some pics today
  5. thnx guys and yes maybe now i need to go for a wooden floor !!! almost forgot about that thnx !! clear is on , real good clear reacted with the paints , my other clear worked fine , glad i tested it > here is the result of clear , over time this will get a tad less glossy (usually does) but thats good then it get even nicer i think
  6. thnx guys and sorry rob .. well not only here but on a nother forum opinions where evenly spread some liked this more and some loved the back/green
  7. gave the wheels a wash anti slip floor , still loose will be glued down after clear coat .. and the patina is dry .. more matte now chrome piece will be the base for a winch i will make
  8. thnx guys . and remember i will try (first time) a high gloss over this patina .. curious myself on how that will turn out i hope something like this > and john in a bucket of water with a spongue i just washed and washed , toothbrush also works great but i didnt have a old one left .. some salt is hard to get of .. i had a small spongue with one soft and one abrasive side .. just keep going funny part is the salt look like the flakes off ... is now covered mostly with my washes haha
  9. thnx john ... well the longer i looked at it the more i hated it .. maybe with clear it would have looked better .. my feeling was it should have been the other way rund , black lower part green and the top black oh well now i will go this route i will just have to build a nother houler in the future and think more in davance and make that gloss
  10. whell decided to go two tone .... idea was to use olive green .. nice oldskool feeling color ... from what i saw on the net it looks great with black ... masked the cab off ..... painted it but man .. i hated it .. now this shot looks horrible especially .. outdoor shot and the green lights up ... not how it really looked visually more like this , indoor shot .. now that would have been high gloss cleared ... but no i just kept looking at it , tried a strile between the colors ...along the side my first idea i had when i started this was high gloss over patina .. so i painted the whole cab and rear section the olive green , hit it with salt and shot this brown-ish over it then after getting rid of the salt .. i was left with chipped paint , looked nice ... but i then hot it with a coat of acrylic burnt sierra , hand brushed and then wiping it with a cloth so it was just a clear layer more like to give it a new color tone ... then used brown oil paint , washed the panellines with black and with a hand brush drybrushed until i like it .. made shading under lines and deeper parts so after this stage i'm now thinking about some lines on the side ....and clear coat to make it shiney
  11. gorgeous job !! now that's a hearse i would want for my last ride !!
  12. love it !
  13. sweet !!
  14. i see .. hmm hard to come by just a loose grille ... tinkered a bit with the van and made a for sale sign , its glued on copper plate and bend .. didnt overdo it .. thought about a bullet hole but in the dio later on i will put a lot of damaged signage with also some bulletholes
  15. thnx guys ! and john nope .. grille is long gone .... under the tarp its now also dented , like its been in an accident .. looked nice but in a wat i didnt like it .. bit to much i guess and i thought a tarp would be cool
  16. paint is dry and hard , really weird stuff its so smooth and slippery its almost like buffed paint .. everything slides of ... great !!! never saw paint this smooth out of a can .. now its dryed up semi gloss and needs clear , the can also says that it needs clear .. also to make the metallic come to life the metallic flakes > real fine so perfect for the scale .... cant waight to see some clear on it and also get a deep reflective shine in the black now i'm thinking maybe do a mild two tone .... maybe
  17. more moss .. along the window .. when the glue is dry i will push it more into the crease so it becomes less thick and wide
