  1. thnx guys and well actually its a match made in heaven , its insane how the messurement just are so close and everything falls together so easy to get support on the back / rear (still where kind of haning in the air ) i used one of 3 caddi rear bumpers i had ... one was ubercool with a step in the middle and diamond plate (wont show on pics due to dechroming but the diamond pattern is there) really had to tape it because the size is now smaller / more narrow then on the daddy , kind of wedge shaped (slightly) bumper and then i mean taillight section will be modded , it will loose a bit of the caddi looks used the caddi axle pins and backs and with the bugatti rims made it so it fits .. now sitting on the front tyres and this is the stance for the front bottom side .. needs some cleaning up .. and in the end i want to add a lot , remove some and loose the one molded look .. add loads of details and wiring and stuff then really sanded away on the transition from sides to caddi bumper / tails ... i also plan on looing the caddi looking wells in the rear and try a very low opening with a round shape matching the front fenders
  2. thnx blair .. didnt keep the fins then a car cant drive onto it ... >>> first slightly bodyfied the caddi "chassis" , cut the top of the wells and made notches where the cabs runningboards fall into weird and looks horrible , but bare with me cut the sides so the where separate just a loose mock up with a plate to get an idea closed the bed on the front sanded it into shape and now its closed behind the cab
  3. thnx guys !! this morning i closed up the bottom of the front bumper , kept the v-shape of the original bumper backside closed up body licht geschuurd idea time > the bed isnt usable thats real lousy toy platic .. but cool to get an idea option 2 > i have this ecto ghostbuster caddi ... without all the ghost buster stuff .. already primered when i got it like this .... the whole underside floorplate and all fits the caqb almost perfect .. its scary ... i could use that and cut the caddi bodi , using the sides , close up the pannellines from the doors and have smooth sides with a bed on top .. then cut of the fins and the shape is round , had got great potential to end up with a unique custom hauler here you can see the unmodified underside of the caddi .. almost like its made fot it , length is spot on .. when i cut a strip of the front , modify the tubs slightly and make a notch so the cabs running boards go over it .. its fitting ... the the cut up caddy body just fits on the rear .. almost perfect
  4. i really like it ! looks are killer .. the flakes .. hmm for me its to big scale wise > not ment offensive > but there should be like a paint with tiny tiny flakes for this scale ..
  5. thnx wayne .. im very happy with the grille , they are actually stips that go on the floor of a vw pick up bus (the 1/24 kit) and the headlights really flow into the fenders where they wehere first raised on brackets .. sometimes the small mods are the nicest
  6. after so much sanding and a few mods i was too curious how it looked in one color .. so i shot some filler primer on the cab .... pretty cool ... now it doesnt even have to be 100% straight and flat .. i want to put a bit weathered paint (faded ?) on it ... not meaning the cab is done .. just wanted to see it like this right after primer ? still wet and glossy > willd ry up real matte
  7. thnx guys !! stractor wheels wont be used sadly .. its toy plastic and although i got it fairly smooth and then painted them chrome they just ... didnt look great also the back side is wierd , they where so wide and i shorthened the width and from the back its not possible to make a nice cover .. they already just fitted width wise.. and i also want that side to look great , the bugatti rims fit much better and those backsides are great .. fits onto the axle ...now i will use those with the tyres i had around the tractor wheels
  8. dont worry he is a robot from planet modelkit that explains it all
  9. mannn sooo cool i want a kit myself !!
  10. drilled some holes .. the part where the center connects to the outer ring , there i drilled holes in the larger surface .. because its weird toy plastic and the tiny pin thing wasnt real safe to drill .. beside that that size drill i need to buy again .. broke those tiny drills some steel pins just to see how it looks .. i want to make bolts from styrene and in the center like those longer bolts that stick out a bit
  11. thnx wayne !! try-ed a third set of rims / wheels .. a while back i found a trown away small scale tractor .. the rear wheels looked great so i took them off and put them in my partsbox .. now i thought they would look cool on the truck .. wide rim , 2-piece .. bit more industrial looking ... so i grinded off the large edge on the center where the tyre sits on before and after > nice deep dish used tyres of a 1/24 ferrari california (got those from my brother) ... they fit super snug around the rim ... now i candrill open the holes , make a centercap .. paint the rim and maybe do the bolts from the center where it bolts on the outer rim chrome
  12. thnx guys and i wil not do standing exhausts .. i want to make something nicer , maybe side pipes that sit just under the runningboards and at the same time visiually make the side lower today i started the front bumper ... i made a flat plate under the original bumper , almost like a skid plate ... then kept a ridge between then .. dont want it too smooth , the rest of the cab looks vintage so it will have to fit the rest then under the plate i made a thinner straight bumper bend in the exact shape of the original bumper ... keeping that shape flowing down .. it sits a tad deeper then the top bumper for depth and again not wanting it too massive smooth looking material i use is old hard plastic window blinds . stuff works great , is free sooo seen from underneith .. you see the plate i mentioned kinda like a skidplate , this will act as a base chassis mounts to that and i had a smooth sturdy base for the lowest bumper and uhhhmmmm then i used 2 old ford die-cast bumper (scale 1/18) those weird soft plastic things .. sanden them got rod of the brackets .. glued it on looked and went and then it looked like a vehicle that could be in the CARS movie hahahahaha but since i wanted a license plate .....i made a holder .. thats solved it and covered its mouth then made the sides a bit round .. you see the die-cast bumper i used i think ... shape wise spot on .. its like fat and low .. but still has got the vintage look that fits the rest of the cab .. i like the center most kind of buldges out and compliments the grille
  13. thnx guys !! and yes it could fit the dio indeed i was playing with exhausts .. dont think i will use them .. its a bit to bigrig-ish used rims and rings from a bugatti (also italeri) to make deep dish rims .. i like them .. i could also do it more flat without the ring the wheels would sit inwards a tad more .. just a loose set up made a grille > more inside for depth and a tad larger strips then stock
  14. sorry ken and this is not ment offensive .. but i dont really see a diorama only trucks with something in the backdrop ... i think to start a whole topic posting one picture where we cant see anything diorama related .... uhhmm i would agree we would like to see more and better pictures ... and really i dont mean this in a bad way or like shouting like ........ just being hounest .. trucks look cool but again post better pics where we can see the dio .. grts richard
