  1. thnx guys !!! color pfftt no i have been thinking about that a lot .. the original idea was a bit weathered .. just because i love to do that and it would look cool .. but since it now has become .... this .. it just needs gloss or at least a even color ....its got that custom look .. maybe even go's towards the lead slead style (reminds me a bot of it) so its going to be painted nice ... now one thing would look killer and thats really deep gloss black , like i didn my mercury .. just because that would reflect so much all the lines would just pop sooo nice due to reflection ... but hmm maybe ots time for something new .. could go for high gloss dark green .. like the one where it almost looks black without much light but when light hits it it go;s green .. again i will worry about that later
  2. thnx a lot guys !! yesterday i was busy with the last small things , bondo , primer , sand . its pretty smooth now ! came home from work and bend a piece of hard plastic then made round sides really finishes it off and makes the transition from cab to bed much nicer ...
  3. dd......aaa......jjjj....uuu nice blair !
  4. ps makes me think of the gasmonkey truck just a bit
  5. man thats soo nice , cool / detail is great that toilet .. whow !!
  6. help i have an idea !! i have those veneer hardwood strips .... like i used in the garage .. they are about 1mm thick .... what if i would do the whole rear bed (top surface only) in real wood ?????
  7. thnx guys !!!!! came home from work and made the floor , kept it just a hair overhanged on the edges , glued it on and the flatteded teh edge so its flush with the upper bar it sits on .. then bondo-ed a bit floor will get more detail like sunken rings for straps .. and maybe 2 strips where the wheels go over with a pattern ..(anti slip) almost ready for bonneville hahaha
  8. so the round bars i made on the side > i sanded the sides flat so its more exiting and less like some round stuff is stuck on ... then put some primer on it to see how it all looked the caddilac squares i want to remove the center thing and make custom tails inside the square with the 32 5-window coupe on the hauler now putting like my mercury on the back .. is just doable .. if i would make the bed slighty monger (tad more overhang).. but the truck just isnt that big and although i found some 1:1 haulers where the proportions are the same ... i want to keer the hauler for smaller rods and then later make a trailer behind it .. make that as long as lets say a mercury or charger ... and keep that for larger cars .. beside the proportion thing its also just plain cool .... oh and i have another pair of caddilac sides so i could match the style of the truck ....and i even have more hub caps i sued in teh truck rims so can make smaller wheels for the trailer but the same look and center ..
  9. all i ment personally was the fact i'd rather see more of the dio , the trucks are front and center and in close up .. where i am more interested to see the diorama itself ... its like when you want to shoot or show a picture of a building but make one of your car in front of it zoomed in on the car ... again not ment offensive and i never said this is not a diorama , i can see parts of the diorama in the background .. its just the fact that the truck is up front and the dio isnt really visible .. so i'd rather see some pics of the actual dio ... hope you understand now
  10. thats gorgeous !
  11. cool ! looks great , cool idea !
  12. cool thats paint is ... deep !
  13. here i made the rear section more sloping down actually sanded of the top of the caddi tails but i didnt like the ride hight in the rear .. needed to come down 2-3 mm .. but then the floor is in the way and i def. want to keep the floor flat the solution was to use sprue and make like a sort of welded skeleton for the bed , this raises the floor just the right ammount and so i can go just that tad lowr in the rear ... also ads' depth then the floor will slope down and in the end even more in a rounder shape .. this also means its so close to the ground so i can make retractable plates to drive on and off over the caddi "tails" i will make custom licht fixings / tails coming together i think shape wise its spot on , more depth and because of the cab style the rer didnt need to be too smooth
  14. the rear atm is already cut more down (wil post pics later) fins style wise umhhm no they look weird .. when i'm done you wont see its a caddy rear tbh .. i'm now making something that i hope allows me to go atad lower in the rear ...
  15. so it was time to work on the bed .... i didnt like the shape of the top (edge) would work grat with like a round coe cab , but this shape wise didnt match my cab ... so i made the edge straight and sawed of a strip , now having that real wedge shape then used ford cobra rear wheel arches , so similair in shape to the bmw fenders i put on the front ... matches soo nice and ties the front and back together style wise bondo-ed the seems now drying
  16. thnx !!! i fixed the issue with the front wheels now they sit nice and center in the well i made the extra edge on the fender and wher it meets the front bumper i made a extension .. that looked horrible so i rounded of the corners and kept it higher . in weird wat bringing that down further makes it look too wide and bulky took some sprue and added a edge under and along the runningboard , flowing into the edge of the fender .. i want to continue it along the bed side
  17. cool stance second one .. hmm thise rims look stunning
  18. thnx a lot guys !! i ddint work on a rear wheel well shape .. still thinking about that instead decided to make a final wheel combo ... in the rear i needed some beefy wide tyres pref. just a tad smaller in diameter then the front (not a lot) , needed to be chrome like the front .. and i only had one bugatti rim left so i had to come up with something else ... took a toy car rim (bought for next to nothing on like a sort of yard sale) .. and glued a chrome hub cap in the center ... dit the same with the front to get a matching set ... and man that looks killer on the front rim the front wheels will sit more centered in the wheel well .. need to change that still
  19. i cut up some bmw fenders .. thinking i use them on the rear .. didnt really work .. but !! i put them up front and went like whoooww custom look , wider , wheels more inside (i love that) and the shape compliments the rear section glued them on .. now its a matter of working them into the fender and running boards
