  1. thnx blair !!!! just started some cleaning and toutching up ... went in with chrome , i didnt like the arm on the cab weathered so i painted that chrome together with the bushes then painted the headlight rings (the small rings on the front) chrome and left the housing weathered , cool contrast and make the head lights pop more also went in with chrome on the headers , they where silver grey with a wash .. now with chrome i highlighted the top parts , more like chrome lines along the pipes like if they are reflecting
  2. made the steering linkage etc, this morning , went for a external steering linkage and arm on the cab .. i didnt have anything that was the right thickness for the rods , so the only stuff that was right where steel pins .. sadly way to short so i had to extend them .. used superthin copper plate .. could be like a adjuster the rod with styrene o ends
  3. whouw + whouw = awsome
  4. time for the fidely small details > added 2 doorhandles a side mirror , i wanted to hang it upside down from the top of the door but this was the only one i had and then it would have faced backwards or sit on the right side .. so i had to put it like a reaguilar mirror sits and added a grille shell ornament ....its not ment for that dont know what it was for found it in my stash and it just asked to be put on the grilleshell things left to do : 1. make a steering rod from the side of the cab (with a tumbler) 2. add wiring to the headlights 3. make bakelines to the front brakes then it will be done and fully detailed ... first time i think i really got in almost every detail ... i wish i would have made the trunk so it could open .. then i could have made a fuell tank there and a battery .. now they kind of are there in my mind .. but next time i will do that
  5. thnx guys !! i gave them a wash > here are some better pictures in the garage .. normal distance they look spot on , on close ups they tend to look more hudge hehe
  6. thnx eric !!! today i glued the headlights in place !! they are actually from a large scale car its either 1/16 or 1/18 .. i believe 1/18 because of the axle i have that go's with it .. should come from a die-cast ford .... i got some of those parts from a guy so thats why i'm not a 100% sure .. now on the rod they have those perfect bullet shaped housings and are nice oversized like you sometimes see on ratrods .... they are just rough ... the supports under the lights need some paint and the housing will get a threathment so just glued on not done yet oh and the pics are crappy evening light pics the size of the head lights , balances the front with the hudge rear wheels and proportion wise its just what it needed
  7. cool .. i do feel its too much like round holes .. the holes are quit large in diameter as well .... not ment offensive in any way .. but all the holes def should not be round .. never saw a perfectly round rusted hole ...and like said diameter is a bit large for rusted through holes now that i have complaint ..... i do have an idea for you > try to take scrap styrene flakes and glue them in the round holes .. doest have to close the hole or sit flush just fill them so it looks uneven and the holes become less big in diamter and at the same time loose the roundness .. in fact it could become like a uneven surface with tiny holes .. after gluing some styrene scraps in you can also go further and try some unevenness along the bottom using bondo .. i have tried a cool thing on a old barnfind body i did > i sawdes mfd wood and collected the superfine dust .. thats so fine and richt for 1/25 scale ... i put a just normal clear glue layer on some parts , sprinkled the mdf dust on it , let it dry and painted it > perfect uneven surface rust creates over time just a enthousiastic reply from my side .. not ment degrading towards your build !! ps .. with this ammount of rust damage i would vote for a dio with a old body in or around the barn or field
  8. thats cool,!
  9. nice !!!
  10. better daylight pics and 2 sunshine shots
  11. thnx wayne !! added 2 coolant hoses , used brass fittings (old ends from guitar strings) and bend rods that where painted matte , i will add some clamps tomorrow and the pic is lousy in this evening light makes it all look more rough , i will shoot some daylight pics tomorrow
  12. added a inner cable , so the rod is a hollow rod where the cable runs trhough , pin on the side ... maybe not 100% realistic .. hard to make a real linkage .. i think one day ik will try to make something out of thin brass plate ...
  13. thnx guys !! and yes i'd love it in 1:1 myself .... and @ jonathan it cool here these pics are on the bench where its really dark brown .. when outside with different light it turns more orange its like a rust flipflop hahahaha just made a fuelline to the carb and a throttle linkage on the other side .. ..
  14. ooh cool i love it
