  4. cool , looking great already . love it
  5. nice ! and i alwayswork like that let the dio guide me , no plans i imagine with some rusted cars , some parts .. maybe some plants on the rusted car ... going to be cool .. oeh maybe a crooked fence along a edge (low) and a big tree stem ? like its laying there for year and rotting away
  6. lol i hope your fine ? .. thnx a lot guys
  7. no problem dennis and thnx i really dig the merc and also the charger inside the garage .. but tonight for the first time i tried some hotords i build ...and i must say they really provide atmosphere just in after a testrun on the flats .. custom bodied '32 ford bonneville racer scalped '32 3 window coupe with safari window chopped , channeled and bagged model a tudor custom '32 ford beach woody
  8. hmm well been thinkign about that but its not your average garage more a custom and rod shop .. maintenance but mainly project building .. so i think a cash register wont fit that theme ... if i had the space i would make a safe like a old fire proof safe haha
  9. adobe photoshop .. you can resize them perfect .. but and thats the key dont print them from your pc folders but when its opened in photoshop print it from there so inside the program you can select print and then its always the size you made it .. but that works for 1 picture .. weird thing is when i make a a4 size sheet and put it full of copyed logos that are resized ... they are not the correct size .. so that loo or thing i can print in the right size on its own but when i copy the correctly sized thing and paste it on a white a4 sized sheet and then print it its wrong .. i found the solution .. i have put a sign on a a4 sized sheet and i know roughly what size that is and when i want to print out a lot of things at ounce ... i just do it on sight and i know how bog they will become (roughly) because the one logo i have on there is always my guideline .. but when i want to print something exaclty a certain size i just print one logo at ounce .. i know my photoshop is to blaim i have had more weirdness but it works for me so.. today i got into details again ..... printed a flyer from dragraces and a small folder from a car and put it on top of the pc screen all readable on the counter i put a large postersize flyer of car races and a moon sticker in the corner on tha glass the tin weiand sign hotrod oil sign next to the rolling door
  10. very nice .. love the way you painted that desk .. the tones and all
  11. whouw thnx didnt know about that stuff i will look for some 4 sure !!
  12. here is the new version .. also changed the tone a tad and before giving it its clear tape payer put some oil paint on the corners , so far its going good no sign of running ink made a small vintage weiand sign for the left side of the office desk .. i didnt use copper because of the scaling printed a mexican blancket .. the tape is medical tape and is sort of cloth like tape on its shine through and gives a cloth look now i will make a nother version of the mexican blanket with a nother technique might be even better and will be more colorfull , the tape makes it go pale
  13. yes i saw it and replyed that it could be a cool idea and that your watercooler was like a light bulb moment i really need to make a watercooler btw the signs where screwed , 2 of them the greens had been running and made the white of the paper green ... after removing a sign and looking what could have caused it i think i found it .. i glued the paper direct in the brass plate and clear tape over the paper so it was sealed .. then i used superglue to glue the brass to the wall/// i figure the brass reacted and maybe even not that but the paper glued on the rbass could aslo make the ink go weird .. so i redid the 2 signs (just finished) and now i first put clear tape on the brass .. then glued the paper on the tape on brass .. so it should be protected from the brass side .. then put the tape on top of the sign and glued it with normal glue ... so i hope they now stay the color they should be and also the running made them more fuzzy .. so i hope to see crisp signs tomorrow
  14. just made a mopar sign a more old and battered sign .. dented it slightly and even made a bullet hole in it lol the rear bend the brass plate and added a plastic piece to glue it to the wall on the wall i will drill some holes later and add "bolts" crappy evening light picture but .. the other ones are real close up here how you see it more on sight standing in front of it
  15. yes i saw what the problem was .. whell later on i will repost some of the nicer posts for people who want to see how its build .. for now i wil just continue where i was made a print for a double sided sign that i want to hang on the corner of the office and started on the first serious metal sign .. this time the result was like ... lets say i was real happy .. so i removed the rest of thesigns and will redo everything no smoking really round and i think close to what the real thing looks like also redid the wear your goggles sign , made it slightly bigger a sign next to the rolling door
  16. everything past the 25 of november is gone ?? and not only in my thread
  17. huh where are al my posts and replyes from people ???
  18. best pointer i can give is .. start the build with no hurry at all , like a garage dio should be about the build and the fun it is to build it ..and second if you want to make anything mechanical or like tools or ... first make sure you understand how it works irl ....if you understand like 50-60% (or more) of the technical side / how it works its easyer to build it seeing the size of your garage (dimensions) and the size in comparison to the wall hight you def. could make a small attic along the width of the back wall with some stairs either in the riht or left side , could be cool .. you could put a lot of miscelanious stuff up there to spice it up
  19. good ! just build and post pics here
  20. i made a display counter / case ... bend some clear sheet here you can see how the corners are bend round , this stuff can be cut with scissors , knife , bend it wont split or crack .. vanavond eens een vitrine gaan maken gewoon een laag simpel model .. dat glas spul wat ik had gekocht buigt dus perfect met een mooie ronde hoek ... super spul dit was in de verzin fase ... hier zie je wel mooi de gebogen ruit then turned it around made a edge and a clear counter top i wil prob. make a frame under it with legs so you can see under it and its a tad higher
  21. gracias jose added the power cord
  22. thnx guys !! just finished and placed the battery charger and battery and realized i forgot the powercord on the charger lol .. will add it later
  23. thnx rich .. and way more to come
  24. thnx dave went on with the battery , made terminals from copperwire , bend thin copperplate into clamps (cant get a shrap shot in the evening light) painted the fil caps yellow .. now the black on the top and the yellow caps , that paint weared of a bit due to handeling .. so that needs to be reworked then started a table version battery charger , choose a vintage feel / look , thats why i made clamps at the battery side instead of modern squeeze thingy's lol
