  1. thnx a lot everybody !!! much apriciated !! .. i have to finish the bronco .. first one ever that got put on hold .. first i want to finish my garage dio .. still not done
  2. awsome harry !!!
  3. whouw !! so real !!!!
  4. hmm very very nice progess !! awsome !!
  5. ooh well .. now its getting scary , nice /great/real and amazing .. please keep whouwing us !!!
  6. thnx rich and well i'm now at the point where you could call it finished .. but every time i kind of think up new things .. that dont overcrowd it but are too cool .. i really want to make a watercooler / dispenser in the office and i have more small stuff that could be way cool .. for instance a floorjack , jackstands etc etc .. but room for big stuff has run out sadly just made a small scoop thing for the bag with oils spill pellets / dust stuff ...and glued the floor in front of the bag and put sawdust on it so it looks like spillage from the bag oh and the toolbox seen from the front , will get more tins and details on the shelfs
  7. thnx guys and rich , well here you go > find your tools i mixed them up with mine thnx again !!! much much apriciated ! put in all the tools i had and man this just creates such a atmosphere .. i will also make some tools myself , powertools and maybe some extra screwdrivers .. i put it in in a more chaotic way .. like when your busy working on something you put the tool down and pick a nother up ... sometimes looking for the tool you just put down .. so i placed the tools in such a way like they where used gluing them was tricky i wanted minimal glue residue visible but it turned out nice the first toolcart , in the drawr i just radomly put ring wrenches 2 sticking out over the edge , that makes it so much more exiting on top 2 screwdrivers , pliers , hammer and airtool ... on the second cart i put a wrench on the edge in front of the detachable toolbox and on the sidetable a crewdriver hammer and pliers for me the most dramatic one and best looking i put a metal file on the vice .. in the vice is also a metal plate (clamped) it just looks like they will pick up the file any minute and start filing .. and on the left of the vice i put a bacho wrench on the bench 2 wrenches on the workbench on the mini lathe i put a key tool and pliers .. on the right on the bench a electo plier to put connectors on wire and a hammer the towel dispenser was real empty on top so i put pliers on it like somebody wiped of his hands and put his pliers there and forgot to take them with him again (lol) also weathered the parstwasher and stuff around it a bit
  8. hmm nice work and very nice details !!
  9. thnx guys and randy > thnx ... coming from you thats a big compliment i love your work brass art !! one day i will go and get the right equipment abd materials and try some brass stuff myself .. maybe start of woth making a simple z chassis for a hotrod and go from there for now i'm still in my styrene > junk and make stuff from anything fase haha i got a enveloppe today with some tools , ramsfin (rich) send them to me for free . nice tools !! .. i needed more so i took a bunch out of my previous garage dio ... the ones from rich where chrome .. needed to become more silver .. the ones from my old dio where weathered (way to much also) so i put them all on double sided tape and resprayed them with my silver / chrome ... beige on the hammers and them silver heads .. the beige will get a wash later ,to imitate wood (dark oild paint wash) also made some grips red
  10. yes just try .. def. doesnt look bad
  11. thnx a lot jesse and yes thnx for the resource comment .. i really like it when people can see all the steps (general) and maybe get inspired .. that is how i got inspired by a dio here , that didnt even have real explanation pics but .... i also got a lot of questions on how to .... so i figured if i post some steps of construction > paint and placement and give some explanation about how i went about . people can use it .. now most in this garage i made up on the spot .. ost things i just try this and that yesterday evening i got the idea i needed a bag of spillage pellets .. so i looked online for some bags of a american brand and could not find anything .. after 15 minutes this was the only one i could find .. i printed it 2 times , glued the undersides together , took cloth tape and made a thick piece , glue that on the inside , closed the bag and just wrinkled it a bit so it looks like a bag of ... pellets
  12. hard one .. i would say yes because it creates difefference .. but on the other hand the floor and block wall are so matching and nice .. maybe its best to do a wall like the block wall there .... like i said hard one
  13. thnx guys and yes maybe i'll add a bit more filth .. dont want to overdo it right away in my enthousiasm
  14. insanely good .. you know i'm a big fan of your work and this one .. whouw so dramatic on such a small surface .. perfect !!
  15. some washes and i put a valve cover on the edge in its place in the dio , and added a power cord for the pump
  16. thnx guys made a band in photoshop for the barrel added a snap on logo and made some red and black stripes ... when glueing the band on it didnt want to stay on , i sealed both the front and back with clear tape to protect the print .. so i made a hoop from thin brass and stuck a clamp on the back to hold the print tight around the drum and let the glue dry painted the inside of the tub silver like i saw on google this makes it a bit more alive i guess instead off all plain red the band with snap on logo , painted the hose flat black ... when everything is dry the whole thing will get a wash to add depth made a mesh screen inside
  17. just sprayed the partswasher red .. now i wan to try to make the middle of the barrel a cecond color with logo and add chrome etc ...
  18. jamie .. i'll bet when you hold on and take your time you will make a great garage and the second one will always be better .. my previous garage when i first finished it wasnt half as detailed etc as this .. then i kind of restyled that one and it looked way better .. but still not neirly as nice as this one .. so my previous garage i kind of build twice ...and learned a lot abiut how and what ... and on this one it kind of came together .. and even on this build i kind of discovered new ways to make things even nicer .. like signs etc .... so its all about putting in the hours and grow ...when i see your door and doorhandle i can see you have the talent and vision .. so keep going !! and thnx dave and no its richard .. colin is my 10 year old son
  19. thnx rich and with your tools ... it will really come to life i was just making a oil drum from old kit wheel backsides ... then i thought about those partswashers on top of a drum and i still needed to make a partswasher so ...... i decided on a on top of the drum version , i dont really have space and now it looks movable .. it will sit in between the sink and bench cabinet also looks cool besides the sink .. made the tub with copper plate .. this is nice and thin and just looks like the real deal and i wanted to make it imperfect just like the rest so it has more carather ... so dents or imperfections are a good think , this gives it a used look made a edge and lid pump rod and hose .. bar to hold the lid .. kept it fairly simple construction wise with paint and dress up and ecals it will be convinsing enough i hope primed it (still wet on the picture) i saw a washer like this where the tun was red but the inside of the sink so to speak was metal colored , could be cool to try and do that
