  1. i love it !~! awsome .. btw i lolled . a few pictures obove my reply is a picture with the outside taped off and you look into the inside .. if you stare at it for a while it changes and looks like a black outside ....hope you understand .. that was cool haha
  2. haha thnx guys ....realy apriciated and michael > lol haha .. i see you live in europe ~! where ??
  3. nice , nice .. is this the one with the red ford on the boxart ??
  4. awsome progress .. love this build
  5. thnx rob , the rust was simple , the base coat you saw above .. that really isnt nessecery but i figured it was a nice base to work on.. i just painted burnt sierra arylic paint on the body , i did it in stages .. so for instance paint the wholw side with a brush and then smoothened it with a soft dry brush so it was a flat layer of acrylic on there , then just completly sprinkled it with vajeo pigment powder (old rust) tapped the body so all the exsess fell off and after a couple of minuted just mildly brushed over the powder with a really soft brush ... did the entire body this way and then just used chalks so make some mild runners and darker earea's .. in terms of natural rust i could add more to make it more naturally rusted and maybe do the salt methode so its not all rust .. but my intention was a on purpose rusted body .. added one wide fron scalop design and then gave the front and side scallops a mist of powder to make the blue blend into the rust tones more
  6. thats wild !! i like it maybe for the cleanness and so it would fot more with the rest of the body close up the foglight holes in the front bumper ? just a thought , they look good but i just thought it would bring it all more together
  7. thnx guys and @ john .. hmm the aluminim is about 0,8 mm > 0.9 mm thick ....
  8. today i made some oldscool scallops on the sides using blue enamel .... i dont have stuff like the chassis so i either want to buy a ford kit and use those parts or scratch everything
  9. then rusted the body and added more tones and runners etc .. the louvres still need work
  10. Hi all .. in the early days when i started modelbuilding (around 2008) i chopped this revell ford 5 window coupe ... first time i build it , chopped the roof and added like a worked into the roof kind of sunvisor thing ..back then i loved it , now i'm like what was i thinking looks awfull (shapewise) that in the end got covered with aluminium spray and polished to look like bare metal , now its a pain to get it off lol .. one thing i wanted to try was change the firewall , not like revell intended but more in terms of the real deal .. cut it out and sanded and sanded to make the styrene much thinner when seen from the front then to get the very narrow edge you often see .. i used thin copper plate and removed the sunvisor / roof extension then made a visor with speedholes out of real aluminum , got it bend and shaped so it perfectly fitted the body's and roof lines < its one piece , sides are folded put a basecoat on it ... and made a firewall insert and polished that so it reflects , kept it roughly polished and not too perfect , firewall will get more detail and i need to make a windowframe and mold that against the pillars
  11. i will make a topic on the ford in the on the bench section , went on with it
  12. whouw getting better and better , love it all
  13. whouwwwwww thats stunning
  14. awsome build !!
  15. really really cool dio !!
  16. thnx and i am still in doubt if i will use this body to make a ratrod or put it in the garage .. what i could do is builda chassis and some parts and make it look like they are building it added some runners and tones with chalks ... the louvres still need work
  17. hmm they def. have more work i think the primer and paint reacted and it all suddenly rusted this was the first round , needs more nuance and tones
  18. well for the first time since i started it i kind of was like ..... not in the mood and all , so i left it alone .. been tinkering on a old chop i did on a revell 5-window coupe ....... this was one of my earlyer , just got into plastic modelkits creations .. now i redid some stuff just for fun , still thinking if i will use it to make a rod in the future or make like a rolling table with the body on and put it in the garage .. would be cool but also take up a lot of space first time i build it , chopped the roof and added like a worked into the roof kind of sunvisor thing ..back then i loved it , now i'm like what was i thinking looks awfull (shapewise) that in the end got covered with aluminium spray and polished to look like bare metal , now its a pain to get it off lol .. one thing i wanted to try was change the firewall , not like revell intended but more in terms of the real deal .. cut it out and sanded and sanded to make the styrene much thinner when seen from the front then to get the very narrow edge you often see .. i used thin copper plate and removed the sunvisor / roof extension then made a visor with speedholes out of real aluminum , got it bend and shaped so it perfectly fitted the body's and roof lines < its one piece , sides are folded put a basecoat on it ... and made a firewall insert and polished that so it reflects , kept it roughly polished and not too perfect , firewall will get more detail and i need to make a windowframe and mold that against the pillars basicly just doing this for fun , not real serious project wise .. and actually the paint is quite thick now due to the metal coat .. but fun to work on this
  19. awsome progress !!
