  1. Dave and Rod, phones or Volares?
  2. Thank you.
  3. Mr. Shipman, you indicated you've got almost every Tamiya off road and many of their street bike kits. Do you have Tamiya's version the Honda CB-750? And have you built it? And is so, how does it compare, other than scale, to MPC kit? I've read that is suppose to be a much nicer kit than the MPC. I believe Tamyia has also offered a Honda Trail 70 in 1/6th scale too. It would be interesting to see how that compares to the MPC version too.
  4. What in the heck is going on here Edsel-Dan? The above is making no sense to me. And how does it relate to MPC's '80 Volare?
  5. If you go on Daniel's website he makes mention of his son doing the art work on the latest reissue. I'm guessing, and rightfully so, that he's proud of his kid.
  6. Both look very nice. And silver works just fine on the Mach 1, IMO.
  7. Yea?????? It's always showing. Another joke I don't get.
  8. It's delightful, its delovely, it's DeSoto. Very nice.
  9. Very nice. Got to love those 300s.
  10. The Bonco above looks great! I can't wait.
  11. The above is one of two Palmer boxes you'll find on line. The other box, which you can see the box art in earlier posts, does claim the model to be a 1959.
  12. I may have some bad news! Doing a little searching on web, the Lindberg boats Round 2 has announced they are reissuing, look like they were originally tooled up by Palmer! If they are anything like Palmer's car kits, I'll be staying as far away from them as I can. Its a shame I like concept of these kits. The box art looks like they were pretty cool boats. But, Palmer kit box art was never the problem. It's what's inside that could be the problem. I want to see a review, with photographs, before I buy either of the two announced Lindberg boat kits.
  13. Okay. Where did the anoucment of the soap box derby car come from? I didn't see that on any of the lists? I hope it's true. I'd really like one. The Lindberg 1/25th scale boats really interest me. Are these things any good? The idea is cool. But, some of Lindbergs older kits can leave a little something to be desired. Speaking of Lindberg. I wish Round 2 would bring back the old Mini-Lindy kits from the late 60's, early 70's.
  14. Tying rigging on model anything is my worst nightmare. That's why the Kon Tiki never got built. And why I'll never buy a model of any sailing ship ever.
  15. Very nice.
  16. The before was nice. But, the after is very kool.
  17. Very nice.
  18. Very kool.
  19. The '73 and '74 GTOs. The forgotten GTOs. I liked them both from day one. I was always a little disappointed that the Ventura based GTO never really caught on. True it sold better than the Collonade bodied '73. But, not well enough for Pontiac to keep the idea going. Too bad. It is interesting that the '75 and '76 MPC Ventura model kits came with a '74 GTO like shaker hood scoop. I'd love to add both an AMT '72 Ventura II, and an MPC '76 Ventura to collection someday.
  20. As a kid I got a model of the Kon Tiki. You had to build just like the rear thing. It came with little wood logs that you lashed together with the string/twine provided. There is no way I could even build that kit today. I wish I still had it though. Ive seen the kits come up on eBay from time to time, and it's now worth a small fortune.
  21. Good news. That's what I'm hoping for.
  22. Yea, and I hear they pick any random half to glue to any other random half!
