  1. Man! Am I in trouble! Please don't let the model car governing authorities know what I've done. I hear they can be brutal.
  2. I got mine on Friday. And opened it up yesterday. I love what I found in the box. Every bit as nice as Mr. Boyd indicated. I very pleased.
  3. Still curious about the Pacer wagon that's coming. Can it be built stock?
  4. I have no interest in this kit at all. But, I do love the new box art! Very cool.
  5. Wow! Very nice. I too love the color.
  6. I'm surprised you don't like this one Snake? At least that's what I assume from your above statement. Me? I think it's kind of cool.
  7. There are modeling rules that state you have to own a vehicle that is available as model kit only? I'm in big trouble! The only car I've ever owned that meets that requirement was my '77 Volare. I wad a '62 Buick. But, rather than a 2-door Electra like AMT's kit, mine was a 4-door LeSabre. A sedan no less! I'm sorry. I didn't know the rules before this. When you guys figure out the appropriate punishment, please let me know. ? Nice looking Cruiser by the way, Tom.
  8. Interesting. Ray, you did a very nice job. But, I not sure what to think of design in general?
  9. From the above perspective I would have to agree. I'm very excited that Round 2 has chosen to repop this kit, and the Honda Trail 70. And just this last week they announced that they will be reissuing the Rupp Roadster mini bike! Between the Honda Trail 70 and the 750. I found the Trail 70 a much easier build. It is a smaller bike/kit, so I guess that makes some sense. But, the Trail 70 kit just seemed a little bit better engineered to me. Again, that's not saying MPC's Honda 750 is a terrible kit. It's just got a lot of detail, and is little fussy at points. I look forward to hearing more about, and see your Tamiya Yamaha 250 in the near future. I love just about anything put out by Tamiya. I'm sure it will have no less detail compared to the MPC bikes. But go together a lot easier.
  10. Sound good to me. Are the lines recessed into the plastic? Or are they raised? It's tough to tell from the above photos.
  11. Thanks Don. Looks good. The only thing I don't like is the molded in "T" tops. How are they molded in? Will it be easy to get rid of with a little sanding and some putty? I've always disliked T tops.
  12. YES! I too like others here have been wanting a first generation Bronco for years.
  13. Interesting that you Scott, found this kit to be "a great kit." I'm not impressed with this kit at all. It seems to be fiddley. Minor things take a more than little work to make fit right. Nothing horribly bad. But nothing great either. With a little time and a lot of patience I expect that mine will turn out okay.
  14. For those who have order the kit. I hope we can see a review pretty quick. No matter what, I'll being buying the kit in the near future. But in the meantime, it would be nice to see what exactly is in box with this one.
  15. I too! I don't get it. And I don't know what the answer is to stopping this crazy violence. (By the way, any and ALL violence is crazy.) Its a strange world out there, and it scares me.
  16. I love Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds. More so, the original version with Richard Burton narrating. Than the Liam Neeson version. For some reason, it seems like very few people in this country (the United States) are familiar with this great album. And there is no US compatible DVD of their live stage show with Liam Neeson as the narrator. I'd love see that someday. The versions on YouTube are not very good. Besides that, I talk to myself a lot when I build models. Or do anything else for that matter. Because I like hearing interesting people talk! ?
  17. Good old "What's My Line." One of my favorite older TV shows. The mystery guest segment was always the best part of the show in my opinion. And a good showcase to give you some idea of the personality of Salvador Dali. A very interesting man.
  18. Neat see one built. I'm slowly working on one presently too.
  19. I like it. A lot! Very cool.
  20. Actually, the small cap on the front wheels is for the front wheel bearings. Not used or needed on the rear wheels. This is pretty much true of all rear wheel drive cars of pre-modern front wheel car era of today. A lot of old AMT kits gave you wheels with the front bearing cap molded on two. And two with out. I think some of the new Revell's new kits do that too. It's not important once you put a hub cap or wheel cover on a model. But, even with hub caps or wheel covers, I make sure I have the bearing cap wheels in the front, where they belong. On a lot of aftermarket and specialty wheels, they would give you a bearing cap for the rear wheels. Just to match the look of the front wheels.
