  1. Never seen an RC version built Jim. Any chance you can post pictures? Scott
  2. OK, despite all the complaining, like Revell's new '70 'Cuda and their '90 Mustang LX, I'll be buying this kit. The complaints I hear on these are minor to me. I love the 'Cuda and Mustang I've already purchased. And I've seen one or two '58 Corvettes built up. From what I've seen, I want one. It looks good to me. Looks a lot better than Revell or AMT's '59/'60 Corvettes tooled up back in the 1960's. And yet I've built those too and was happy. Very little is perfect. And that's OK in most cases for me. Scott
  3. Very cool! One mean looking truck. I would like to know more about this build. As Mr. Gilmore asked, I too want to know where the V12 came from? Man, I like this rig. Scott
  4. I think the Stooges had Dewey, Cheatem and Howe way before Click and Clack did. Listening to Tom and Ray, I'd be willing to bet they're Three Stooges fans and picked that name for their legal teem for that reason. Scott
  5. Wow! Ready to go to the disco with this one. I love blue. I paint most of my models one shade of blue or another. But, for some reason this is too much blue. I like it and I don't like it at the same time. Nice job though. Scott
  6. Very cool and sequential turn signals too. Love sequential turn signals. Scott
  7. Way to go. Very nice job. Has she built anything more in the last year? Scott
  8. Very nice Matthew. Color and graphics really make the car. Very cool. Scott
  9. Very cool! A Canadian Laurentian. And a two door sedan with a six to boot. Another great one D.W. Scott
  10. 1967 maybe be my all time favorite full size Ford. Several years ago, I too found the exact same kit and build it. Mine turned out pretty nice. But, not nearly as nice as your's D.W. Scott
  11. Wow! Got to love those Studes. Very nice. Scott
  12. Wow! Beautiful! Scott
  13. Second gen Corvairs are still one of best designs to come out GM's styling studios ever. They still look fairly modern today. And the job you did on this model is top notch. Very, very nice. Scott
  14. Very nice. I especially like the surf board itself. Nice. Scott
  15. This is one of reasons I keep looking back it these old postings. I keep finding treasures like this that I have not seen before. Very cool build James! Scott
  16. Wow! I'm not a big fan of colors. But, what beautiful build. Top notch work. Love the Merc wagons of this time period. Two doors or four, the hardtop style of '57 through '60 Mercurys look great to me. Scott
  17. As noted by others, very nice build. I like that you gave it whitewall tires. I don't think recent reissues came with whitewalls. Which are need on a cruiser like this from the 1970's. Scott
  18. Just ordered this kit. I too am a big fan of the Stooges. Plan on use the decals used on the model on box. Hook, Line and Sinker, Fresh Fish. I love it! Scott
  19. I'm a little confused. "55T Bird done!"? It looks like a '56 too me.
  20. Yes Rok, it comes prepainted. Price? I picked up mine from a seller on eBay for $179 US. Most other vendors want about $100 more for some reason. Despite the great price, the kit was brand new and in prefect condition. And they had several available at that price. So it pays to shop around. Again, this is one of most pleasent kits I've ever had pleasure to build. No painting. And the painted details are very well done. Easy to assemble. And great instructions. I was little hesitant to buy any model for $179, much less $279 or more. But, it was worth every penny I spent on it. I no buyer's regret on this one. Scott
  21. Interesting. A couple of more questions. How does this effect using a decal setting solution like Micro Sol or others? How flexible are decals for going around contours and such after clear coating them? As far as our friend over in Australia, Future is a clear acrylic liquid floor wax sold in this country. A lot of modelers over here use it to clear coat models. Some air brush it on. Most people I know, just use brush a coat on using cotton balls out of all things. This stuff is great. It's self leveling. Dries fairly fast. It does not yellow the way some other clear coats do. And since it's made for floors, it's pretty tough. On the kitchen floor it may wear off in a few months. But, as long as you don't step on your models, it works pretty good. Scott
  22. Scott that may be the meanest looking truck ever! Great detail. I like it! (another) Scott
  23. I'm still not really understanding this. Can you spray clear coat from a can? Or would I be better off with a thin coat of something like Future acrylic floor wax? And doesn't the clear coat wet the decals? Or keep them from getting wet when you do dip them? Scott
  24. This talk about coating decals before using them. Can someone tell me more about? Scott
