  1. I'm confused? Where's the joke here?
  2. Most of us know what's proper or not. Tell us a "corny joke." That's what this tread for. Not for complaining about what is appropriate and what not. This tread is one I go to to have fun. Maybe get a smile? So here my latest one: As soon you meet someone with 10,000 bees, you should marry them. Thats when you know they're a keeper.
  3. Thanks. I just took a look at it on eBay. Condition looks nice. But, that asking opening bid price. I guess I and nobody else is that interested at that price. Still, thanks for letting me know about it.
  4. Sorry. But I have to show a few pieces of Bob Canada's work. Wow!
  5. More of Bob Canada's art. I love his stuff. Why have I never heard of him before?
  6. I found out that a guy named Bob Canada did the spoof art of the Mr. Spock kit. A little searching on the web comes up with more great art by the same guy. I love his work!
  7. P.S. Saw this on the web the other day. Almost as good as the original.
  8. An impulse buy. I've always wanted one, but use to dread the idea of brush painting the details. With move to Tamiya acrylic brush paints. And successfully building serveral other figure kits. I figured it time to finally buy one. I love the box art. Live Long and Prosper.
  9. Why did the Clydesdale give the pony a glass of water? He thought he was a little hoarse.
  10. Oh I forgot one. I stayed awake all night. Wondering where sun went? Then it dawned on me!
  11. It's been a while since any bad jokes have been posted here. That's a shame. So here are a couple for you. Two wind turbines are standing in a field. One turns to the other and asks, "What kind of music do you like?" The other turbine responds, " I'm a big heavy metal fan." Why are dogs such bad dancers? Because they have two left feet. Speaking of dogs. I was working in a high school class about a month ago. In that class the students were reading out loud about a famous blizzard that took place in the Dakotas, back in the 1880's. The regular teacher at one point is explaining to the kids that blizzards in the Dakotas can be especially bad, because there are few trees to slow the wind down. Well, I couldn't resist. I immediately ask the class if they knew what dogs are called in the Dakotas? Desperate! After a second or two, I heard groans, and was told by one particular student that that was bad! I know it was bad. But, it was worth it. And these kids have known me and my sense of humor long enough now. What did they expect? I love those groans, and being told my jokes are bad. Yet everybody seems to really like them in the long run. So I'm never quitting. Somebody has to torture these kids, right? (Or are they torturing me? Either way, I'm having fun.)
  12. That's my take on it too. I think they're having fun, making fun of how cheesy Plan 9 was in using the old Lindberg kit in the movie. My impression from the Round 2 site is that it is coming with the clear canopy and the alien. There is something in there joking about displaying the kit showing the occupant "if you dare." So if this is not a joke. I'm guessing we're getting same old Lindberg Flying Saucer kit. Which is great. I've been wanting one for a while now, and they've been getting harder to find now. My only concern, will the kit included a copy of the original decal(s)? So I can build it in its original form. And not only a replica from Plan 9 From Outer Space. A movie which I hate. Even though I have copy on DVD.
  13. Now that ☝️Is cool! I never knew anybody did a Cunningham. Is there any chance of seeing more detail of what's in the box?
  14. Very cool. I hope this is not an April Fools joke. It looks like all of the original Lindberg Flying Saucer parts will come with the kit. The only question I have is with the decals. I can't tell from the posting if it will come with copies of the original Lindberg Flying Saucer decals, or not. I hope they do. As I want to build an original style, "stock" version of this kit. I know it's hard to believe, but I've missed every past release of this kit. And now that I've wanted one, they've become hard to find.
  15. Wow! Very cool stuff Mr. Boyd. Thank you for sharing this with us. Interesting, and a little sad. What might have been.
  16. Bastardized is right. No better word for it. That's by far the ugliest Oldsmobile I've ever seen.
  17. Two cool and interesting kits. I hope you post pictures after you get either of these kits built.
  18. Opening the boxes, and seeing what's in them, I am very pleased. Both look to be very nice kits. Test fitting of parts in the Vostok is fairly nice. I already have Yuri and his cockpit started. The Titan looks nice. I just wish they would have included a Gemini/MOL option. That should have been the next step in the Gemini program.
  19. I figured I better grab these two, before they become impossible to find.
  20. Yes there is. As noted, by Minicraft, like the float version.
  21. Below is Lindberg's 1/48 scale F-80C Shooting Star. An old kit with low parts count and detail. Despite that, I like the way it turned out. It's sister, the F-94C Starfire from the same box, is still a little ways off from being finished.
  22. Much better pictures. ☝️ It looks very nice.
  23. From what I'm seeing, I like it. It looks pretty nice.
