These are, actually, pretty cool models built up.....I haven't built any of these, but I do use the inside of the trailers for reference for my 1/24 scale scratchbuilds.....You've done a nice job on this one....I never thought of cutting a hole in the top of the trailer like that....That is an awesome idea....You'll see it show up on my next model....Gotta use that one.....Great job on this bad boy, too....I also like the chrome pinstriping.....That one I've used, but still a cool idea....Looks great on yours....Very nice weathering on the car, as well .... -
Hey, Hey, Hey....Looking pretty good, so far....You may know this, already, but the trick is to make the sides as close to mirror images as possible....And it looks like you've nailed it....I use good old fashioned tube glue to assemble the major components....It's much easier than the liquid welds, as you have quite a bit more work time and it bonds just as strong....

Well, if you want a near replica of a Featherlite, you're gonna really have your work cut out for you, as the back door is an elevator....The entry doors will be easier, but still a little work will be involved.....I only do "swing down" doors or static elevators....One day, I'll build working elevator like Kyle's, but as time isn't on my side, I just build them curbside....His is much more accurate....

It depends on which type of trailer you want to make.....For hinges, you can grab some from the RC dept. at your local hobby shop....They make some that can be used quite easily on trailers....And for windows, you can take just about any packaging clear plastic....My favorite is the clear plastic you can get from Walmart's bakery....Those containers make great windows....And you get to eat the pastry!!!! For wheels and tires, I use the 1/32 scale wheels and tires from the little model trucks you can find at the truck stops all over....They're not super accurate, but you can get, like 5 sets of duals, if you pick one of those triple axle tractor trailer variants....They make great "short tires", if you will.... I've got a few threads in here....You can check my "1/16 scale Pete 379 Livin' Large" in the "Under Glass" section for a basic design....Pretty much a curbside with an interior....Plus a few more threads....Just look around, because I don't know how to post a link to them....

Thanks again, Guys....You're way too kind.....The box is just a drom.....As you can see by this shot of the other side....And I have some shelves for these things, but I 'am' running out of room, pretty fast....Hoping to build some more, soon.... -
Ok....Oddly, enough, I can't seem to find my thread on this truck, so I'll have to start another one....I had to make another trailer for this one, since I used the other one for my KW Big Boy....And here it is....

Well, it was looking pretty good before the cat incident, but I'm sure you'll get it back to form, soon....I've learned to shoo the cats from the garage....Good thing is, they've never knocked anything over....At least not yet....This is Kobe, chillin' on my table... -
