Very nice build. I have been trying to restore a '69 cougar that fought me every (literally) step of the build. This thing will either bend to my whims or see the crusher (trash compactor). In other words, I can commiserate with you brother

I received this Cougar about 15 years ago. As for the before pics, I don't have any. Imagine it was shot in a nice bubbly yellow with 10 coats of gloss black on top of that. There were air bubbles throughout the paint. I stripped the paint with Easy Off in the summer (July-ish). From this past Friday until tonight I think I made some progress. This was the first time i tried to wire an engine. I still have to foil, detail and do final assembly. Thanks for looking. I was lucky to get the pictures to post at all. I tried to use the upload program from this site and it just didnt work. I had to post them to flickr and then copy and paste. I tried to copy and paste to my post from my hard drive and that didnt work either. I'll try to work it out somehow. Thanks for the kind words

the flames are decals, however I cut some of the decal out so it fit better

Thanks for the kind words. The color was a custom mix. started with humbrol platinum bronze (i think) mixed with testors champagne. diluted with 50% thinner and airbrushed / gloss coated.
