  1. Thanks for your positive comments!! I few "assorted" updates: Painting the reflectors. I used Vallejo liquid masking tape: And the result: A bit late i decided to open the front grill: From this: A little sanding in the back...to this: I'm never been fan of Revell's "bling bling" wheels: A few minutes submerged in chlorine (not shure how it is called in english) to strip the chrome and a few coats of testors silver enamel: Suspension with the classic corvette's.....hummmm.....also don't know that word.....=( you know what i mean:

  4. Front ligths are solid: I drilled holes in order to look more realistic: I'll use some transparent sprue tu make the lenses
  5. I always separate pieces to paint by color, in batches: I used PPG automotive primer for all the parts: And made some pre shading: This will be the interior color: Engine and transmission also is getting its color: More soon! Thanks for watching, any comment or critics are wellcome!
  6. My color choice is "daytona sunset orange" I got it mixed at my local Sherwin Williams store. The paint is "base color" The clear is Sherwin Williams polyuretane: Then sanding and polishing sesions.... Panel lines painted: And semi gloss black aplied where necesary:
  7. Hi! This is some of what i have in my workbench, hope you find it interesting. The box: Test fiting the transparent parts...a big gap! My solution: Styrene stripes: Sanding and puttying: Until an accepatable fit is achieved: Body ready for paint!

  9. Hi Larry! yes, i used the kit decals. I used Microsol and hair dryer to make them lie down. It´s tricky because with the hair dryer there is always the risk to melt the decals. But with patiance in can be done! matter of practice. The decal doesn't fit the scoop, i had to use a little paint to fix: And then fixed:
  10. Hi Joseph!, yes, i used the acrylic transparent blue (35ml acrylic jar) trough the airbrush, over the zero paint "guardsman blue", then Ts-13 clear straigh fron the can. Glad you like it

  20. Hi! Thank you for all your positive coments! To answer a couple of questions: The paint is Zero Paint's Guardsman blue, with a coat of tamiya transparent blue. The clear is tamiya TS-13 straight from the can. Then it was polished with tamiya's compounds and wax. I didn't intend to replicate any exact car or paint tone, i just painted it until i achived a color i like. Thanks again, i'm glad you like it, it's a very nice kit.
