I thought i would post a few pictures of some mpc glue bombs i bought off of evil bay. The first is a 73 firbird formula. I used several old firebord gluebombs to save. It was painted italian red but changed it to tamiya bright red. The second is a mpc camaro that i combined with a 74 firebird chassis because it was already set up with the racing option. Firebird

Thanks guys this project just might get off the ground yet.

Now question is does anyone make resin copies of the amc six cylinder.
-
The 77 camaro used a integral head design which looked different than the std chevy six and if memory served me correct the amc six looked pretty close in head design so I figure if nothing else I can combine the amc and chevrolet sixes to make a engine for the 77 camaro which is going to be a replica of one my wife had. Thanks for the info and I'll talk to sean.

Thanks guys. I know amt did a pacer or gremlin that had six cylinders which might be modified as well. Any ideas which amc kits to look at.

Apparently the ring gear for the v-8 for manual trans was unique to that application due to its size. I work in the auto parts business and couldn't locate a replacement ring gear anywhere. Ford had even discontinued it. So i had the machine shop reverse the ring gear i had and tack it in place on the flywheel put it back together and sold it. As you stated theauto flexplates are easier to find.

I been trying to win that kit online but get outbid. For the price they go for I would rather do a resin transkit of that car. I used to own a real mustang II cobra. Was fun till the flywheel gear stripped and to search the world over to find one.

The revell cobra street racer which was yellow. Then they put out a more custom version as part of the hot rod series. Which was a cobra street racer machine. Which was red. Thats what i remembered. Take a look at the yellow street racer and see if that gets you closer. There is one on ebay right now. Find it under revell cobra mustang.

Why couldnt you just clear coat it. -
As a professional car painter and avid model builder i treat my home booth just like the professional booth i use. I make sure the filters are clean and the fans are continuously running till im done painting. On my model booth at home i spritz the filters with water and make sure that the, fans run until im done painting. I also change the filters regularly. I also occasionly use a friends home built booth. He uses squirell cage fans and furnace filters for the intake and exhaust. We also wet down the exhaust filters and he never has a dust buildup. He is adamant about that because he doesnt want to have hhis garage burn down with a car in the booth. Just my two cents.

I have been playing with the gel pen for whitewalls. I found that spraying the tires with dullcote after the ink is dry protects the whitewall. I tried it with white letters and seemed to work as well. Just a idea.

Didn't revell make a model of a king cobra mustang II. Might be mistaking it for another model.
