  1. Most of my early builds were done in a day- those actually look better.
  2. I like Ummagumma, DSOTM, and Wish You Were Here. Not a fan of any of their later works.
  3. Motherless Children by Eric Clapton from his last decent album.
  4. Those must be some uber-stiff fork springs!
  5. I saw this same story in our local newspaper yesterday and thought it was interesting: http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/31/health/anglo-saxon-potion-mrsa/
  6. Luka by Suzanne Vega
  7. Henry Ford made a car that had body panels made of a sort of hemp-based plastic and burned hemp oil
  8. I missed the El Monte reference or I'd have guessed it was a Zappa song I posted some lyrics from Greggary Peccary earlier that no one got
  9. Yes on both. I think Wishbone Ash was underappreciated, myself.
  10. In what month do women talk the least? February
  11. Thought I had a girl I know, because I've seen her Her hair was golden brown...
  12. That was a big one for me too- my family moved from Los Angeles to Joseph, Oregon (pop.870) fortunately I was able to find them bah-dump!
  13. Terry Jacks kept coming to mind- I never would've gotten Andrew Gold
  14. The song is Lonely Boy, but I can't remember the artist
  15. I thought I'd already answered that one but I guess not- it's Sam with the Showing Scalp Flat-top from the Bongo Fury album by Zappa/Beefheart/Mothers My tar room absorbed every echo the music was... thudlike Don Van Vliet was quite the character
  16. Correct. . My sister is married to a radio DJ in Las Vegas so she gets to meet a lot of rock stars:
  17. He got a suitcase covered in rattlesnake hide and he stand right in the road
  18. I have not. Apparently, the original bus (which was named "Further") is completely rotted-out behind the barn where it can't be seen from the road. Several years ago, Kesey bought another old bus and painted it up and tried to pass it off as the original to the Smithsonian.
  19. On the Road was written well before the Merry Pranksters existed- sure you aren't thinking of the Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe?
  20. Nice car, I love those supersport wheels. Needs round headlights Here's my '80 "Sport" at the same Ford meet as the Escort photo was taken at:
  21. I have seen that. Steve Allen was pretty edgy for the time. Not familiar with that particular Grateful Dead song, but it's obviously about the Merry Pranksters and the acid test- I ride by Ken Kesey's house occasionally, and met Wavy Gravy a couple of times in the '70s
  22. Mine is all set up for autocrossing with Bilsteins, heavier 20mm lowering springs, urethane bushings, lowered motor, 19mm rear swaybar, XR2 gears in 3rd and 4th (closer ratio) XR2 front tie-bar brackets, Bosch distributor, Formula Ford head, Tri-Y header, XR2 intake and carb, lightened rods, heavy duty clutch, oil windage tray and baffled oil pan to avoid oil starvation on hard left turns, battery relocated to the right rear- lotsa tricks! It did real well in local autocross events, I took 3rd for the season my second year against a bunch of much newer, more powerful cars.
  23. I was also unaware of the 1.6L OHC version I have most of the parts to build a ~130hp 1600# Fiesta, including a Quaife diff
