  1. No, I used white primer for the top and clearcoated it- it's not Sungate Ivory, but it's not bright white either.
  2. My "worst" build really isn't all that bad, the headlight lenses crazed from using CA, and the interior is glossy and an ugly color but the body paint is pretty nice.
  3. My first 4-wheeled vehicle was a '51 Ford F1 pickup I bought for $90 with money I made working on a cattle ranch when I was 15- I learned to double-clutch in that old beast. I had a '68 Harley 125 when I was 14, and a Hodaka Wombat when I was 16

  5. I found this site very helpful when I was building my '53 Victoria: 1953 Ford Victoria

  7. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone
  8. I enjoy all the challenges modeling affords
  9. A journey is plastic for someone who's walking on air he falls through elastic and there is no net waiting there
  10. If a judge needs to be spoon-fed information to know what he's looking at then he shouldn't be a judge.
  11. Jimmy Messina was in a surf band with Glen Frey.
  12. Aoshima's old Suzuki GSX250E kit from the '70s can NOT be built OOB- the lower mounting points for the rear shocks simply will not work It's like nobody at Aoshima ever built this kit to check fitment once it was produced Not that anyone is ever likely to run into this kit
  13. I like to paint the whole carb with Tamiya metallic grey then spray a little puddle of stainless steel or aluminum plate metalizer and let it gas out a bit before I tamp it on to the high spots with my finger, then buff it out- the details just pop out Sometimes I like to mix a little Tamiya clear orange with titanium gold and brush it on
  14. Brain Damage by Pink Floyd
  15. The smaller ones are actually better for pan-frying, I like to fillet and smoke the bigger ones. I still have around 20 trout in my freezer left over from last year- I vacuum-pack them so they keep real good. I like to catch big fish http://www.zrxoa.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=188872&stc=1&d=1377033737
  16. Caught 4 nice trout, including a couple of 16-inchers
  17. I like Kid Charlemagne
  18. I should add that if you use Microset be sure and let all the acetic acid residue dissipate or it will react with TS-13, causing little pinholes or bubbles to appear as per one of my previous attempts. It takes a few days for the residue to completely dissipate. Carefully wiping the decals down with a warm, moist cloth is a good idea.
  19. I spray several light mist coats and let it dry thoroughly to form a sort of barrier before spraying any wet coats.
  20. Scored some nice king crab legs for $6.50/lb
  21. George Harrison plays slide guitar on that song, and Leon Russell plays the piano parts
