  1. Very nice!!
  2. Thanks for the incentive, but my Lincoln was a newer year.
  3. Nice save. Good job, looks great.
  4. I believe he is missing you and your Comaro. Am I right???
  5. Here is my story. Originally we were going to use a Lincoln LSC built pro street style. After being talked out of it (thanks Erik) for lack of handling and bad gas mileage we had to ponder what vehicle to use that has good gas mileage, handling, and a reason to not get arrested. We came up with the Toyota Celica GT-Four due to race proven WRC build up and having great gas mileage, superb handling, and when being chased by the police instead of stopping we will just claim the accelerator is STUCK and we should get a police escort the rest of the way. Accelerator will be stuck to the floor for the whole race. That's my story and I am sticking to it.
  6. I am actually going to build it as a second kit for this CB if I finish this one.
  7. Seeing as though Erik Smith is quashing my motivation I am changing my kit to a Tamiya Toyota Celica GT-Four. I am really bummed cause I wanted a reason to build the Lincoln, and not spend more money on another kit. Watch out Erik yours is the first to get the tires slashed. LOL I just ordered my kit and will send pics of the new unopened kit. Nick, would you please change kit?? Thank you. Here is a pic of the new kit below.
  8. Alright, I think i am starting to understand. Let me see if I have this right. Build my Lincoln even if I have to get across the country a quarter mile at a time, build it the best I can, and slash everyone else's tires on the way. I think I can do that, I have an exacto.
  9. If this is more of building cars that race across the states and your looking at gas mileage and not getting caught by the cops, I guess I am going to have to withdraw myself. I actually thought this was more of a model build with some regulations in it, and that if it passed the prerequisites it was good to build. My Lincoln would pass all the specifications for the CBP but would definitley not be able to race across the country, and if that is part of the judging I would have no chance. Can someone please clarify this so I can start collecting things for my build or so I can not worry about this build at all. Thank you

    1969 Super Bee

AWESOME!!!! Usually when people take close-up shots like that it shows many flaws but I can truly say that build is flawless.
  11. Here is my Lincoln LSC Pro Street Parts. I think I meet the requirements, if not let me know.
  12. If I can use my Lincoln kit. Count me in. This will be fun.
  13. Thanks everyone, it means alot coming from you guys!!
  14. I have used "Easy-Off" and it left a kind of pitting. I am not sure what paint was used, as I bought the kit as a glue bomb. I have had kits melt using brake fluid, spirits, and that tamiya stuff (was too expensive and not worth the trouble). I just would rather try the purple pond before anything else.
  15. I press the flocking so it isnt out of control, the paint is Tamiya Dark Mica red.
  16. I have had other kits ruined with brake fluid and oven cleaner, and I have a hard time trusting them. Once I used purple power and it worked so well I found myself getting lazy painting cause I know I can always re-do it. I have found that purple power takes a while to work on lacquers that were used with a primer, but all other paint it works like magic.
  17. Don't chance those products. Go to your auto parts store and buy "Purple power". It will come in a couple different names but it will be in a purple jug and will be called a cleaner. Put the parts in it and wait over night and than use a tooth brush and the paint will come right off with no problem and will not mess up the plastic.
  18. absolutely awesome!!!!!
  19. I didn't fix it, that is how it was molded.
  20. very nice!
  21. So what size lines are used on the 1:1?
  22. what size braided lines would I use for fuel lines from the fuel cell to the pump on a pro mod engine. What size fuel lines would I use going to the intake?? Also, what size fittings would be used with those lines and would they be regular or compression, or would you put the two fittings together??
  23. Awesome build!!! What kind of paint do you use for the engine fittings? Is it a clear red and blue?
  24. Very nice and clean build.
