QUESTION- How did you cut the decals out. Did you cut out the center of them where they go on the sides? Did you cut the hood "Warlock" out separate from the pin striping? Looks good. I have 3 of the Warlock kits and was going to be building one box stock soon and bought those same decals.
The cab is resin but I cutoff the front clip and replaced it due to poor resin build up. I cut and shortened the bed from the Monster truck kit, Scratch built luggage rack, and did a custom paint job. I will be adding a snorkel, mirrors, and door handles to the body. The vent windows will be in the open position. Still am scratch building the interior and lengthening the chasis. I will be making a custom suspension for it also. Hope you enjoy!!
You guys are building some great stuff, WOW, from the weathering, scratch built parts, and clean work I have a hard time showing my pics.
Got some more work done, but be nice now I am just a novice. Oh well, here are the pics.
That looks awesome. I am going to be starting that kit very soon. I heard the tires melted the plastic very fast and the plastic stayed sticky. Also, the front fender hit motor and exhaust. Did you have to deal with any of that? Any helpful hints you could give me would be great cause you did an excellent job on that kit!!!!
You guys are doing GREAT work!!!!! And to take off that beautiful paint job, I couldn't do it.
Just to show a little more progress, I painted some fenders and the gas tank. I have some pics of the gas tank showing what I use to try to get the paint shiny. Never had luck with anything but sandpaper. I use to never do anything cause I had a hard time scuffing up a paint job that was always so/so, until I tried the sand paper. I start with 3200 or 3600 and work my way up.
Here are some pics of the progress-
3600
4000
Believe it or not I actually accomplished alot today. My son is sick and laid around resting all day so i did some work on my bike. I think I might actually finish this one too. Check out the pics and let me know what you guys think.
Sorry, Mustang 1989. Back to building and would like to change my build from the dollhouse to a Yamaha XV1600 Roadstar if you will still have me? Thanks.
Here are pics, I did glue the frame halves together but that is all.
