I have been thinking about it and I would like to change my selection to "The Pierce Doll house". I understand this is way off the beaten path but I bought this for my Granddaughter last year. She is one year old and I would like to get this built before she is too old to play with it and before I have major health issues. She is my baby doll!!!! So I hope this is alright if not let me know. I only started the foundation and it is not glued or even properly put in sequence, Here are some pics.

Thanks again everyone. Danno, the color that I used is Model Master Enamel "interior blue/green. Mustang1989, The reason I decided to build this kit is more for the fact that I am very interested in helicopters ever since I was in the military. The Russian Hind MI Mil 24 helicopter was very advanced for its time. It had a vast job ranging from attack to medevac to troop carrier. I did build the Blackhawk and won first in my local IPMS contest. Here are some pics: I would also be interested in a community build but do not have the know how or computer skills to start it.

I know it has been a long time since I started this post but here we go. I decided that I wanted the hardtop on it and make it look like the one in the pic. After I ended up pointed up the fins on the rear i got another warped body and took the roof off and put it on here. I shaved the door handles and got it primed and the body painted. I am still working on the grille but it is getting closer. I have so many projects going on but I will try to keep you updated. Thanks

Purple Pond. Let it soak -
Thank you for the nice comments guys. I appreciate it.

Polish it out. This is a hood I just did and polished one side and left the other alone. That is what polishing will do for you.
-
I started to sand and buff the hood. Here are some pics of how I like to shine my paint. Some say to use Future, just clear, or furniture polish. I think the only good shine is from sanding and buffing. I did one side of the hood (Not fully done either) and left the other side alone. Let me know what you think.

Nice build, very clean. I like the purple!

The pics below make the color alot lighter but in real life the paint looks almost black. Still have to sand and buff the paint to get out any imperfections but here are some pics with the 2 Metallic Purple top coats and 4 coats of clear. These pictures don't do this justice. I had to get the light right so you could see the flames. Sometimes it looks black, dark purple, and light purple. Sometimes those flames just pop out when the rest looks black, awesome. If anyone is interested in painting flames like this I got them here and the guy is great to deal with and that product is awesome!!! Check out the video on the bottom of his EBAY product. He has flames purposely made for all different cars. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Flame-Paint-Masks-for-Revell-AMT-Monogram-Generic-Large-Car-/150805502960?pt=AU_Toys_Hobbies_Model_Kits&hash=item231cb55bf0

The trans is, the block is out of a 79 Camaro Z28. I will be using the belts and pulleys from the kit though. Chevy Power!

I started to build this kit for another clubs site community build. The theme is "Dream build" and you build what you would like to own in a 1:1 scale. I love them '59 Cadillacs so I picked me up that pink Monogram kit and started. I just started and thought I would share the pics with you. The body will be getting a couple coats of metallic purple and than a couple of clear, along with a whole lot of chrome. Let me know what you guys think. The start of the engine: The body already scribed, couple coats of metallic black, and flames painted in diamond dust.

Promolite Products better Than Excellent!
HNTR replied to impcon's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I just ordered a kit from Tom Coolidge at Promolite 2000 resins. The whole experience of this order was great. Beautiful castings without much clean-up, extra parts (in case you screw up), and a good man to deal with. I would highly recommend this company and gentleman for your next resin purchase. If you need help finding him or Promolite2000 PM me. -
The more I look at it the more I know I have to sharpen out those wings!! It looks like the side of the wings were sanded too much also so I will be adding some styrene to both sides filling in my lines I just scribed and starting out all over again. This is what discourages me. MAJOR REDO

Progress is slow but is still going. I have scribed all the panel lines and and removed excess plastic from the grill. I put my first coat of primer on and did it in grey so I can see all the blemish's, almost all of the primer will be sanded off and everything should be close to being smooth and all my nicks from scribing should than be covered up. I did not take the hood off yet as it keeps the body more stable while sanding. I still have to sand down the grill and add the slats for my custom grill. Than the whole thing needs to be sanded smooth before it goes to "chrometech". Here are a few more pics just to keep an update going. Remember we are in the rough stages.
