  1. Thought the Chrome valve covers would look good on it so I left them alone!! Shot clear on the frame but after I had the engine in it flattened out!?!? Oh well! Not pulling it apart to try another clear! I’ll use something different when I do the body panels though! tires and wheels are done and ready to go on, body and interior are next!!!
  2. Chassis is painted along with engine! Engine is in the chassis and next onto wheels and tires!!!

  11. I wanted to build it to look like an older Pete as it is I guess! Lol, doesn’t matter I caught the handle when moving things for paint and knocked it off and now on the front side of the fifth wheel... chassis is in flat black, need one more coat then onto metallic black!!! Engine is ready for primer grey then to the Allison color green. Then onto wheels and tires then body. Then hopefully I can find a flat bed trailer to put behind it....
  12. CHassis ready for primer and paint!! Added the pull handle for the release on the fifth wheel..

  14. James, that is looking killer!!!! Love the idea on the grille surround. Kind of where I thought it was going to go initially when you started putting the 58 on the rear deck!!

  16. With watching the rummage sale today I was able to get the chassis mostly done! Just have to put brakes and steering linkage on then it’s time for paint!

  19. I know it’s not in every issue! I don’t think they stopped it as they SAE photographers took photos at the Milwaukee NNL for an upcoming article they’re putting together on scale semi wreckers...

  21. I have gotten the chassis mostly done except a few small parts, then it’s time for paint! engine is mostly together as well, then paint for it too!! Hopefully by next week both will be in paint and ready for bright work! Then off to the body!!!
