As Patrick said above, you have talent. What airbrush were you using? What paint? How long did you dabble?

I forgot to post this one. Came a couple days ago. Iwata HP-A with paper work. Never been used. It was made in September 2012. I've wanted to add a few more A models and the Iwata model A has been discontinued. The prices are going up on them for that reason. When I found this one at a good price I jumped on it. It's also my 11th Iwata. I just sold one of my two HP-SBs or I'd have 12 Iwatas. Thank you Peter. I think I do have a half decent collection. For the most part there are only a limited number of brushes I'd like to add to it. The above HP-A purchase makes one less Iwata I am looking for. I still need at least one Iwata High-Line to round out my Iwata collection. The only Eclipse I have is the new Takumi side feed. All my other Iwatas have the angled air passage. No Revolutions, Neos or other Eclipses . When I find brushes I like for a price too good to pass up I usually buy them, even if I already have that particular brush. The T&C model A posted above for instance. I now have 4. I plan to give one to a good friend. This Iwata has nothing to do with the other brand brushes I mentioned. The one I won now shows as shipped so hopefully it's put in the mail tomorrow. The other one I will be getting also. I sent the payment for that a short time ago. Update 8/22/22: The eBay win arrived today (WOOT). Still waiting on the second one. It's coming from New Zealand so it may be a while.I plan to post both at the same time.

Came across this one at a reasonable price. Figured what the heck... Another Thayer & Chandler model A. Nice AB. Case has a few spots on the outside. Nothing major. I just won a different brand brush and I made an offer on a second one of the same brand. Once in I will probably post them, if I get the second one.

To anyone interested. Although I have not posted every airbrush I've gotten I have posted a number of them. I went through my "Find Content" and picked out some I have posted in the What Did You Get Today section. Starting with the most recent. Two on page 1274 Two on page 1271 1230 1229 1227 1225 Three on page 1224 1220 1219 1212 1203 I quit looking after page 1203 but there is one I'm fond of on page 44 of the What Did You Get Today (Not Model Related section). Should be a good representation of a part of my collection.

There doesn't seem to be that much interest. With as many as I have I think I've turned off a few folk here too. I collect airbrushes like most here collect model kits. I have learned quite a bit about them. I also have a friend who has forgotten more than I'll ever know about ABs. He is my go-to on ones I am unsure of. I have learned a lot from him and my collection has gotten much nicer.

Came across an airbrush lot of Thayer & Chandler brushes. There was one in particular that caught my eye as I knew it was old. First one is a model A from around the 1970s. Very nice case with paperwork. The next one is also a model A. I thought it may just become a parts brush as it's missing a few things. Turns out this is an old one too. It should be from around 1920 or earlier. I did get the case with it. I will be restoring this one. And the one that was most important. It is a model B, larger than the A. The trigger stop behind the trigger shows this brush to probably be from around 1905-1910. The only cup that fits it is the large V shaped one. The others fit the A models. This is the case for the old model A (it's rough) and I did get the wood insert for the B. Plus two nozzles (great to have) and 4 needles for the B and seven needles for the A. There is an extra nozzle cap that I'm not sure which it's to and three seals. This is my first foray into really old airbrushes. At least now I have a couple as old as a pair of my Singer sewing machines. I have purchased two more brushes. Waiting for them to arrive.

I ordered the custom machined piece I need for my Grafo T2 from a friend of a friend. He needs to make it yet so it could be a week or longer before I see it. I'm quite pleased that I could have one made. It was a bit pricey but, then again, it's custom made. I'm also glad I've been learning what fits what on different brands of airbrushes. I had ordered some spares from the UK for the DeVilbiss Super63 model A I had just gotten. It needed a new diaphragm and stem for the air valve (I got two) as the one in it had dry rotted. I also bought a new fine line nozzle and a pair of fine line needles. The needles and nozzle are 0.12mm. To my knowledge they are the smallest available in any AB brand. I ordered them very early AM on July 26th. They were in my mailbox today July 30th. 4 (four) days shipping from England! Incredible.

This was in today's mail, a day early too. Grafo T2 now made by Harder & Steenbeck. These are similar to use as the Hansa airbrush I have. You can not push down on the trigger, it doesn't depress. These brushes have what they call "Controlled Double Function". To use them you pull back on the trigger slightly and you get air. Pulling the trigger back further releases paint flow. And as in a regular double action, the further back you pull the trigger the more paint is supplied. It comes with 4 paint cups, a rubber head guard and the tool to remove the cup from the brush. This brush has a 0.4mm needle/nozzle but H&S needles and nozzles will fit and work in it. This is a great looking airbrush. I'm talking with a friend who modified his T2 and I plan to do the same with this one. I will hot rod it .

I'm still off the AAD recovery wagon. I found this one at a good price. It doesn't look like it was ever used. Thayer & Chandler Elite detail brush. They are a bit different as you unscrew the aircap to adjust the line width. Fully seated gives a spatter pattern. Typical AB use is between 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 turns out. I have another one of these brushes also. This one, in the cedar case, predates my other one which is, IIRC, in a walnut case. They are double action. And I did buy another airbrush. It should be here by Tuesday. I'll post a pic when it shows.

I didn't post that to defend you in particular Bill. It irks me that someone would join just to "take a shot" at what another member posted. Whether they like or dislike you, or me for that matter, makes no difference. There are members here who I don't care for. I put them on my ignore list and now I don't see anything they post. Seems pretty easy to me.

In hindsight (mine is usually 20/20, I wish my foresight had a closer ratio) "poor mans" might not be the best choice of words. From what I gathered the 771 is pretty much on the level with a Micron at about half the price. Seems like a win. Your choice of the 270 sounds like a good one.

And this is what came today. A Creos PS771 and some extra parts for my H&S Infinity CR+: The PS771 is the poor mans Iwata Micron. I read reviews and watched some YouTube videos and everything was positive. If you read my signature I did fall off the recovery wagon with these two. I am going to try to stop looking at brushes for a while again.

You're welcome Bruce. Wouldn't be good if the button fell off mid pass. The H is a pretty simple brush. I have a few although I've never used one. I stick with my Binks Wren when I use a single action. It's the brush I learned on and pretty much the same as the H. They are easy to clean. I don't see one in the bag but you may need to find an allen wrench for the screw holding the nozzle and needle in, if you ever plan to take it apart. One out of your tool box should work. If you got the hose with it it was a pretty decent deal.

Good find on the Paasche H Bruce. Looks to have the number 3 needle/nozzle which should work well for model painting. And if you haven't yet, you may want to screw the trigger button on a bit more.

The 4th of July is my birthday. I just so happened to look at airbrushes for sale. I found this one at what I think was a good price. It is an Aerograph/Devilbiss Super63 model A: From what I can tell this brush has never been used. I had shied away from A models as I didn't think there was much use for them. There is and I have since changed my mind. I'm looking to add a few more to my collection. This one is post 1980. I'm a happy camper! While I was searching BD gifts for myself I bought another one too. It should be here tomorrow. I'll post pics once it shows.

Updated pic of my girlfriend who I had brought home Christmas day 2020. I updated a second pic a while later as when I got her I was told she was a male. The first time she went into heat I knew other-wise. I said then I would have her fixed but I've been contemplating breeding her once. I need to find a large hairy Maine Coon to breed her with. Then again she has gone into heat three times in the past two months. Her first heat lasted 4 days, the second lasted 5 and the last one was 7. It gets to be a trying experience. I said I had to rename her. Although I call her many different names I have pretty much settled on Punkin as her vet name. Most names I call her have Punk in them somewhere.

It was a surprise fer sure. And back to reality, I had purchased some sewing machine parts on Sunday night. The label was created and they did ship on Monday the 6th. It shows as having left Sacramento on the 7th. I figure the next update should have them in Pittsburgh. It's usually 4 or 5 days so I'm not concerned at this time. Looking forward to seeing them. When you can Bill.

And now for something completely different... I ordered a part for my riding mower after work on Monday the 6th. It showed a shipping label was created that day. The seller is in California and I am just south of Pittsburgh Pa. It was put in the mail on Tuesday the 7th. It was in my mailbox today, the 8th. Wowzer! I did not pay for next day or 2 day shipping.

Well, found another. This one is a Franklin. They were made by the Domestic Sewing Machine Co and sold through Sears & Roebuck. The serial number records are pretty much non existent so I do not know when this one was made. It is a copy of the Singer 27 (the machine I got previous to this one). I think from the decals this might be an Egyptian model as there are scarab beetles on it. I'm not sure. The Egyptian model was to compete with the Singer 27 Sphinx. I wanted it as it is a treadle model in a small cabinet. The machine and treadle move freely. It needs a new belt and the front slide plate is missing. I tried the slide plate from the Singer 27 and it fits fine. I will switch between the two as needed, for now. It even has the key for the door. I didn't really want another machine as I have more than enough projects I'm working on. I saw it so I tried to get it before it was gone. I did and it was fairly cheap and real close to my house (gas prices ya know). Pics are in "as found" condition.
