  1. Totally agree. I've spent a small fortune at Scalefinishes on Cad Firemist colors 😉
  2. I think it was your post earlier that listed the hood and the rear quarter issues. I often look for stuff like this but unfortunately didn't see your post til after I'd laid the paint. Like you, I wasn't about to go back and try and correct things. I have a printed 70 Fleetwood and from what I can see the front is still a bit flat and the backlight seems a bit wider than it looks in online pics. The body side lines appear correct though.
  3. I think it's a medical-type tape that I've had for a long time. It's relatively thin and sticks well. Unfortunately, no brand name. The texture isn't nearly as coarse as the pics show and at normal distance it looks acceptible.
  4. Super variety of builds! Nice!
  5. Scalefinishes 1975 Cerise Firemist on this 70 Cad cv. I didn't realize the body had a few "errors" when I began the build and when I finally understood the problems it was too late as I'd already done my painting. Otherwise, lots of stuff done to it. Thanks for looking!
  6. My bad! I need the 68 hood..... great catch Steve! Thanks!
  7. Looking for a 68 Bonneville hood. Can be painted or even somewhat damaged. Pic attached to help ID for you if needed. Thanks!
  8. They did (still do?) make resin kits. They did some Caddy's and 4 door stuff from what I was able to find out.
  9. Anyone know the history and quality of Page Resin?
  10. You really have to be careful buying/bidding on "Modelhaus" items and look very closely at the photos. I've seen more than one that are obviously not Modelhaus based on the sloppy quality shown. Easy for a seller to claim Modelhaus and hopefully command Modelhaus prices.
  11. Very nice!
  12. Was able to cross off the 72 Riviera from my wish list.
  13. I've kept a spreadsheet on my Google Drive for a LONG time and I track most everything I should do, have done, or shouldn't do for each build I start. Like Greg, and lots of us, I >try< to focus on one project at a time but I get sidetracked often (I guess that keeps me from getting burned out on just one project) and keeping track on my sheet is a good thing. I also keep track of colors/paints/clears etc on a separate sheet as well as spoon paints. I currently have like 210 spoons in my stash and often refer to them when trying to decide what colors to use. Lots better seeing a color on a test spoon rather than guessing at paint in a bottle/can and wondering what it would look like after dry. Some colors I do two spoons with white and gray primers. Anal? Yes.
  14. The 59 Lincoln is similar but the 60 Linc isn't. I think I'm going to go with Steve's guess that it's close to the 60 but just not exact. The emblem in the center could well be an attempt of a 60 olds. I'm looking for 4 covers for the 59 Olds and I came across these in my stash and was just wondering which they were. I knew they weren't 59's though 😒 Thanks!
  15. Thanks for the guesses/opinions 👍
  16. Is this a '60 Olds 98? Or? Thanks!
  17. Good option Bill, thanks
  18. What I was thinking. I'm waiting on some custom made Cadillac decals for a couple of builds but figured I'd ask here just in case about what else might be out there. Thanks
  19. Mid fifties to maybe 1970? I have a few printed kits that unfortunately lack any kind of markings, emblems or scripting.
  20. I'd already checked both of these sites before posting but only MCG had anything Cadillac. The 59 set is a possibility but still hoping to find decals if they're around too. Thanks
  21. Looking for info on which, if any, 1/25 Cadillac kits came with decals that could be used on stock builds. Like small emblems, dash stuff, scripting, etc. Thanks!
  22. Thanks for all the replies.... I was only curious as to which kit I may have used them from. They are pretty versatile with both sized whitewalls though. I knew they were AMT, and they had to be relatively new. Lately I've been doing more late 60's or early to mid 70's printed stuff and can use differing styles of tires that were used in that time period. I know that the Supremes faded out at some point but I still like them as some of the better detailed kit tires. Often it seems the tires and wheels included in these printed kits are off quite a bit for 1/25, more like 1/24 or even a bit larger.
  23. Never knew about that site, thanks!
