  1. Great work so far everyone. I've got a bit more work done on the Mustang. The underside has been given some body color overspray, the suspension has been painted and the rest of the body panels primed.
  2. Welcome to the forum Jake.
  3. Welcome to the forum Rich.
  4. Looks great! Love the colour.
  5. Welcome. Nice pair of builds.
  6. Nice work.
  7. Nice looking collection.
  8. Thanks for the comments, it was a fun build.
  9. Beautiful build.
  10. I built this for an 'Aero themed Autos' build on another forum. The kit is the 1/24 Revell Mini Cooper, paints are Humbrol enamels and decals are from a 1/72 Revell De Havilland Mosquito. Due to the way the kit is designed I left the roof detachable to show the interior. Hope you like it.
  11. Great build and a nice choice of color.
  12. Great job.
  13. I'm making better progress on the Mustang than I did on the Mercedes I entered last year. I've got some work done on the engine. Meanwhile the body and underside have had a coat of primer. I should have another update soon.
  14. Time to post some photos of my entry for this year's race. I'm looking forward to getting started.
  15. Great set of builds.
  16. Great looking builds.
  17. Santa left me this. First time for years that I've had a model for Christmas.
  18. After failing to finish last year I'm determined to make the start line this time with a '70 Mustang Boss 429.
  19. With less than a week to go I've been putting in a few hours on the Mercedes. The engine, transmission, exhausts and rear suspension have been fitted to the floorpan and the doors have been painted.
  20. It is a Bugle. I built one a couple of years ago. Wayne, I still have the instructions. If you want me to send you a copy let me know.
  21. Ooh, I know this one!
  22. I got the Comet along with a 1963 Fury and a few other kits over the weekend at Scale Model World here in the UK. I also got a sheet of gold BMF and a set of Pegasus reverse chrome wheels.
  23. I picked this up today for £20.00 ($32.00). I'd never seen one before so I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by. The same vendor also had a couple of other Jo-Han kits at the same price, a '70 Olds 442 and a Mercury Comet 429 Boss Pro Street so I might be going back to spend a bit more.
  24. Sorry to hear that Mike, my thoughts are with you. There's some great work going on here guys. Sadly I can't say the same about my Mercedes as I haven't got much done to it so far. I have got some paint on the bodyshell though. Looking at the Mercedes website I thought the Sepang Brown would make a change from the usual red or silver so I've given it a couple of coats of Ford Roman Bronze automotive paint which looks a close match. It might not make it to the start but I'll carry on and see how it goes.
