  1. After seeing a '56 Bel Air pulling out of a nearby side street the other day I thought I'd see if I could track it down. It turns out that it's only 10 minutes walk from my house. A few doors away this nice old Chevy van was parked on the driveway.
  2. Great review Adam. I picked up a sealed example last year but unfortunately my tires had come into contact with the windows and rear lights, with the expected result. .
  3. Great looking paintwork. The wheels look good too.
  4. I've got a Gremlin in the stash and I'm interested in taking part.
  5. Very nice. I remember seeing quite a few jacked up Escorts back in the day.
  6. Cool looking Chevelle. Great paintwork too.
  7. Looks interesting, I'll be watching too.
  8. Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated.
  9. Test...
  10. My younger brother originally built this Monogram F-100 back around 1980. Since then it had been in storage, during which time it lost a few parts so I decided it was ripe for restoration. The paint was stripped from the body, which was then sanded down and repainted. The bed was painted a sandy colour, given a coat of clear orange and trimmed with BMF. I was pleased with how it turned out. Let's hope it lasts another 35 years.
  11. Let's try Bill's way. That works, thanks for the tip.
  12. Let's see if Draggon's method works for me... Yep, that works.
  13. Great looking Mustang, love the color.
  14. The Road Runner is finished. I did have a bit of an Aaargh! moment when one of the tail lights fell out and was rattling around in the body. Luckily it came out and I was able to refit it after removing the rear bumper. I'm pleased with how it turned out and it will look good on the shelf.
  15. Great looking Nova Clay. I managed to finish foiling the window frames and got the glass fitted so this I where I got to. A quick mock up to finish with. Thanks to Rob for suggesting this build, there's been some great work going on here and I've enjoyed taking part.
  16. The Chevy looks good Rob. Shame it won't be finished in time but your back (and wife) are more important. I'm not sure if I'll be finished either. The interior parts are all detailed and assembled. The foiling is still going on. If anything makes me over run that'll be it. Here in the UK there's just over an hour to midnight. I'll take a couple of photos of where I'm up to and finish it tomorrow.
  17. Good to hear she's back home Dave. Great work guys. I've got the body clear coated and most of the decals on. At the moment I'm working on detailing the door panels then it'll be BMF time.
  18. Hi Tom, I have seen the latest reissue on sale over here but never got around to buying it. As you say it does like an original issue, I'm planning on starting on it soon.
  19. I had a nice surprise at my local model club meeting this afternoon when I was asked by one of the more senior members if I built older stuff like Model T Fords. When I said yes he produced this from under the table. I can't remember how long he said he'd had it but looking at the box, instructions and decals it was quite a few years. I checked the parts when I got home and it looks like the stock 'T' has been built, probably back in the day but all the parts for the chopped coupe are still there so I'm happy. I did ask if he wanted anything for it. When he said no I said that I'd get it built and bring it in to one of the future meetings.
  20. Good to hear that your Mother could be coming home soon, it can't be much fun being in hospital on your birthday. The engine is finished and has been installed. As you can see the chrome steelies have been painted black. I'll be adding the dog dish hubcaps later. With the dark blue paint and black interior it looks like it should be in the 'Sleeperball'. The chrome parts should brighten things up a bit. Keep up the good work everybody.
