This is my second finished build for the latest round of the BOYD. Started in 2013 it had languished on a dusty mantelpiece for several years until I got back to it a few weeks ago. Here's my entry for this round, an Airfix boxing of the MPC Burnout Bird funny car. I started this in September 2012, just after I got back into model car building and the last time I did anything to it was a few months later. I had to replace the kit decals for the body side with some checkers from a 'Vette Agin as I've found that old MPC decals don't take kindly to being asked to conform to curves. Great job Gareth. I've got one of these that I was going to build as a Squad Rod but having seen yours I'm leaning towards doing it stock (when/if I get around to it).

Nice to see the Monte Carlo finished, it looks great! As there are only a couple of days left of this round I thought I'd better pull my finger out and get the '37 Ford done. The build originally stalled when I had trouble getting the side windows to fit properly so I got some clear plastic packaging and made replacement windows for the rear. Even with the thinner plastic they still needed clamping to help them conform to the shape of the body. DSCF1700 by timothy jones, on Flickr As I started this seven years ago I thought I'd freshen up the interior too. First was to get rid of the poorly applied flocking. DSCF1636 by timothy jones, on Flickr Once that was gone the floor was painted violet along with the lower door panels and rear parcel shelf. The rest of the side panels and seats were given a fresh coat of grey. This is the Revell kit that I started back in 2014. Having sat in its box for a few years I decided it was time to get it finished as part of Snake's Bring Out Your Dead build. Apart from having to trim the dashboard as it fouled the windshield and stopped the body from sitting properly it all went together without any trouble. Colour is Ford Green Jade metallic with a dark grey interior.
