"Bring Out Your Dead" Completion Build--ROUND 2 Is On!

Nice job on the Corvette Snake. I hope we can get enough for the next round, I'm in with a very orange Chevelle that hasn't been touched for about 5 years. DSCF1926 by timothy jones, on Flickr -

Congratulations Nigel, that looks like a mean machine. I'm looking forward to seeing what folk have got lined up for the next round. -
Great looking paint. I agree that a white interior would look best with the pink body.

Good to see the Jeepster getting close to the finish line Tom, along with its little friend. As far as my entry is concerned I've gotter done. ? There may have been a gap of eight years between the build stalling and starting up again but it's nice to have it finished at last. DSCF1925 by timothy jones, on Flickr DSCF1919 by timothy jones, on Flickr DSCF1923 by timothy jones, on Flickr I've already got a couple of candidates lined up for the next round that I should be able to finish quickly. -
Nice paintwork. The metallic colours look better than those on the box art.

Great pair of builds Matt, I think the Alfa is my favourite.

All the parts are there, even the carpet. ? My LHS will be closed today as we've been upgraded to Tier 4, that's why I went yesterday. The owner did say that quite a few of his regulars had been in stocking up as a precaution.

"Bring Out Your Dead" Completion Build--ROUND 2 Is On!

Having looked at the instructions again I think you're right Dan. I've refitted them and added the roll bar. DSCF1902 by timothy jones, on Flickr I've also got the wheelie bars fitted. DSCF1901 by timothy jones, on Flickr I've just got the steering and a few other bits to add so it should be finished tomorrow. -

Fantastic work Dan, it looks great. Work has been progressing slowly on the Firebird. The rear brakes were fitted followed by the wheels, seat and side panels. DSCF1743 by timothy jones, on Flickr DSCF1748 by timothy jones, on Flickr The engine had fitted OK up to now but once the headers were fitted they fouled the side panels so I've taken the panels off and will refit them a bit further back. DSCF1893 by timothy jones, on Flickr There isn't a lot more to do to 'gitter done' so I should have it finished in the next couple of days. I've got a few nearly finished builds lined up for the next round. -
Looking good so far.

I bought these from my local LHS. As well as new kits they have a few second hand kits on the shelves, hence the Toyota. DSCF1889 by timothy jones, on FlickrDSCF1890 by timothy jones, on Flickr

Looking at the parts reminded me why this build stalled as every one has flash and ejector pin marks on it so the first thing I did was strip the chrome tree as by the time I'd cleaned the parts up there wouldn't be much chrome left on them. DSCF1724 by timothy jones, on Flickr Once the parts were cleaned up I was able to get to work, starting off by painting the frame and adding the axles. DSCF1731 by timothy jones, on Flickr The engine was originally orange and chrome but I stripped it down, repainted the block satin black and repainted most of the chrome parts in various metallic shades. Off to a good start. It is very blue. -
That looks great. Nice and shiny.
-
Great job on the body and the vinyl roof.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Nice to know I got the trim on the hood and rear window right. Dennis, I have been looking in on your build, it looks great so far.

Great looking Camaro, it looks good in that color.

Having seen bogger44's build of this kit I thought I'd post some pictures of mine which I built earlier this year after picking it up cheap at a show. Although it's a pretty basic kit it does go together well and looks good sitting on the shelf. Great work on the interior and the ride height looks just right.
