  1. Funny how things come together for inspiration. We have been working on this Pete at our shop and the more I looked at it, the more I was impressed by it. Its just a sweet rig. We are replacing a front fender and re painted the other one. I will have a completed pic next week. I have taken many reference pics. Its a 379, with a double sleeper and a 24.10 ft wheelbase. I did a quick search for a 379 kit and came up dry. I have not looked for a resin trans kit. If anybody knows of one, please speak up.
  2. This is awesome !! I wont "borrow" any of your ideas, oh no. One day I'm just gonna take 'em and run !!
  3. My 96 Suburban, both 93 Grand Cherokee's, AND my 1942 Ford GPW (the original "Jeep")are all registered as CARS.
  4. I live in a state that has separate plates for Pick Ups and cars. Jeeps, unless it is a Pickup, are cars. They see it as an SUV, not a "truck".
  5. I already found my Revell fully opened '57 Nomad, and added the matching 55-7 Belairs. Other than that, I wont know my next "graille" until I see it. lol
  6. Ditto, no matter what the car/truck, and it did not matter how whoever had it before me drove it. I have never had to replace the clutch while I owned it. Must not be just me either, my father-in-law drives truck, In 30+ years and four different trucks, the shop never replaced a clutch in any of his. They all had 300,000+ on them
  7. Thanks everyone. Gluhead, the red one lined op perfect, the blue one did not. Go figure...
  8. Thats a beauty !! I built a 65 Stepside in a similar theme a few years back.
  9. Nice work Marcus !!
  10. Thought I had a turned aluminum dizzy in the box Mike. Oh well, yours looks nice as well.
  11. Absolutely beautiful...I have always liked the 58 Edsel !!
  12. Sorry about the alternator, I was throwing all the aftermarket goodies I had in the box and never even noticed. Yup, 383 was what I was thinking 'cause its more Plymouth correct than a 440.
  13. I have always felt that the 46-8 Fords were the hardest to get a balanced chop on. They have such a BIG BULKY BULBOUS BUTT !!! When you chop them, it makes the BUTT look BIGGER YET !! Your chop flows so well, and with the tail dragger stance, it really pulls your attention AWAY from the HUGE BUTT !! Great job !!
  14. Just call me "nobody"....
  15. Love it !! I owned a sweet little 1:1 a few years back. Sure are nice little trucks !!
  16. Love the purple and white, but not sure about the blue, lol All of your builds have such an awesome finish. keep it up !
  17. LOVE those colors !!
  18. Where are my sun glasses ? lol, Lots of Bling on that one !!
  19. Beautiful !! Is that the kit chassis?
  20. Sharp lookin build !! I have the Ranchero, but need to get a couple Falcons as well now.
  21. That chip wasn't in it when it left me either, and I have picture proof of it as well. So is this the last place its popping up at Mike, or do I need to go other places also?
  22. Mike, I'll let you call it what you want. But it is officially after the first of the year. SO START WORKING ON IT !!
  23. Mike, you cant say anything. You have had it almost 2 years and all you have managed to do is chip the paint. Lomnslow, I'll be more than happy to take that 59 Elkie off your hands if your tired of looking at it. I think my sig shows what all I have not finished....in the past 6 years.
  24. Geoff, mine is mint and unbuilt. We should have traded since I plan on cutting mine up.
  25. Beautiful !! I lived outside of Newport, OR for 17 years and saw a ton of log trucks and you nailed it. I have a stalled Bison on the back burner but am slowly getting to it.
