  1. That is true craftsmanship Donald - turning this awkward kit into a model that does really look like a 356 Speedster! Awesome lighting, too !
  2. I re-entered the hobby in 1982 (after a long break during my teenage years). My first model was amt's Peterbilt 359 Wrecker - here is what it looks like today ( I only re-glued a few fallen off pieces 3 years ago - my oldest surviving build therefore is a truck):
  3. Many thanks for the nice comments, guys - I wish you all a happy and prosperous year 2025 !
  4. You maybe right, Peter - on bare metal I would also use primer first. My next project will be a Alfa 1900 Carrera Panamericana made from a die-cast - has already been stripped to bare metal = ready for priming.
  5. Bill, I will use a Fujimi 356 for the Abarth-Carrera (have several kits + 2 junkers), the Abarth 205 Vignale will be built curbside with a scratch bare racing interior (for chassis # 102, see pic below) and wheels from Jack modeling: For the Pegaso I have the idea of turning it into the Z 102 Thrill of 1953 ( I have 4 diecast Z102S for interior/chassis etc.): But this will not be done in the immediate future, I just wanted to secure the bodies for me - a German slotracer was selling off part of his collection ...
  6. Plastic looking like metal - fantastic, Pierre !
  7. Received 3 resin bodies today from a German ebayer: Abarth-Carrera GTL (Porsche): Abarth 205 A Berlinetta GT Vignale: Pegaso Z 102 S Touring:
  8. Tamiya TS red sprayed directly onto a Welly diecast without primer ! I just masked the rear fenders and sprayed Italian red directly onto the silver body: the color is very hard and cannot be scratched with fingernails!
  9. Here are the other ways: 1/24 diecasts from Italy (made by Ixo): 3 basic versions from 1972 (the weakest with 63 hp): and 2 ti versions from 1982 (the strongest, with 105 hp):
  10. Very good looking models, Geno.
  11. Excellent weathering on a perfectly built mixer !
  12. Bought several kits (some diecasts too), made lots of plans, started some builds/conversions, but finished only these (all 1/24 scale): Diecasts: Reworked/repainted/modified a 1967 Citroen Ami 6 Break - as a present for its owner: Refined a Welly Porsche 550 Spyder: Model Kits: Optimized my old Monogram Cobra 427 S/C: Repaired/restored my old Gunze 289 Cobra Daytona Coupé: Finally started and finished my Ford P68 project (rebuilt and modified a very old gluebomb, kept me busy from June until November - see WIP):
  13. Very nice beetle, Simo !
  14. Thanks, David - you have agood-looking custom here.
  15. Very nice models - my favorites are the Alfa GTA, the Stratos and the DB5 8i guess this is a rework of the 007 car ?)
  16. All are excellent builds - very well done !
  17. Several outstanding builds here, Michael ! A very productive year in quality AND quantity.
  18. You are going into the new year with another tour-de-force build,Pierre ! Very delicate detailing as we are used to see from you. This will turn into another outstanding model and I'm going to follow your WIP, of course.
  19. Very nice milk tanker with excellent Ford tractor!
  20. The flowing lines of this magnificent car - very impressive !
  21. Looking forward to this one, too. Another GP classic!
  22. Very well done, Rich - really nice model of this iconic F1 racecar. How boring are today's F1 cars - all look the same.
  23. Steven, that is just excellent - you have outdone yourself ! If I had known known that this is a model, I had taken it for real - no doubt. You definetely deserve all the trophies you won with that one.
  24. Just discovered this WIP - hope you will go on with this - it will be looking great when finished.
