  1. Excellent model - in 1:8 this must be huge !
  2. Very nice, Matt - a really good way to end the year !
  3. That is quite an output for just one year - my favorite here is the TR7 rally - never seen any builds of it.
  4. Excellent models, Pierre - exactly to my taste ! Best wishes for you also and I'm looking forward to your surprises coming in 2025!
  5. Maybe the truck is ugly, but your model is great - like fresh from the factory, very clean build !
  6. Rich, I don't think that it's real (monetary) value increases - it is more of ideal value. Anyway, your coil springs add very much to the look of the suspension.
  7. This has to be a special place in your Ferrari collection, Rich - great ! (I have two Ferrari/Niki Lauda books signed by him and a Clay Regazzoni book also with original signature - these hold a special place on my bookshelf as both drivers are long gone)
  8. Once again an extraordinary model from you, Jürgen. I don't want to know how much time you have invested here. As I didn't want to spend much time on a miserable kit, I bought instead a Franklin mint diecast of a Bentley with the same body a few years ago for cheap money.
  9. John, this is a great model of Jack's last GP season: with a little more luck he could have won 3 races: ran out of gas in the last lap at Brands Hatch (your model), slid into the barrier in Monaco's last corner (both times Rindt won, Brabham took 2nd each), but was a winner in the opener at Kyalami. Anyway, this is a very nice rendition of the Brabham BT 33, made from a certainly not-so-easy Heller kit: despite their delicate supensions, you even managed to put all 4 wheels on the ground !
  10. Thank you guys for the nice comments on these old builts.
  11. Thanks, Nathan - but you unearthed an old post ...
  12. I think Pierre meant his recently posted Lancia Stratos as the OOB build.
  13. I have an old junker Gunze Fiat 500 that will spend its chassis : too narrow, to short wheelbase, but maybe a starting point.
  14. Fresh in from the postwoman: 2 racecarbodies made in Italy (not China !): from TTS a 1971 Alfa Romeo TT33: and from BRM a 1970 Abarth 1000 TCR: Those will be built curbside - I have to find/build fitting chassis and wheels for these beauties...
  15. This again will be turned into a fabulous model, Dave. But Pierre is right: the windshield looks too steep/upright and the nose too short - at least In comparison, the former Jim Clark car from the Goodwood TT . It has a sleeker, longer and lower look - see pic below: Here in action in 1962:
  16. Well done,Mark - looks like the real thing in the photo above.
  17. Once again a very nice model from you, Rich! Very cool is the story of watching the `98 Watkins Glen race !
  18. Something old in-between: I Built these 40 years ago, sold them 4 years ago (pictures from 2020): the Lincoln is only clear brushed, the Cord sprayed with car laquers:
  19. Pierre, have you checked the Mercedes Benz publich archive? SSKs racing with or without (different) fenders - here is the link: https://mercedes-benz-publicarchive.com/marsClassic/en/instance/ko/Mercedes-Benz-SSK-1928--1931.xhtml?oid=6796&relId=1001&resultInfoTypeId=172 Will be interesting to watch your work (as always) !
  20. What's up, Pierre? Out of the box? According to the instructions? Very unusual for you, I would say. But as usual, a very nice model ! As this is one of my favorite sports cars (have 8 Hasegawa Stratos kits in my stash, but have not built any yet): Are there any important points to be noted when building? Have you discovered any issues?
  21. Excellnet model, Bob ! Shaping the nose from balsa wood - unbelievable!
  22. Interesting rework, Dave - had this kit been molded in McLaren orange or did you paint it that way (back then)? Cause shock absorbers and intakes show the same color. I will be watching what you are doing with this one. The rims in your first picture (with the Firestone tires) look like they are from a Lola T70. Do you know a source for these in 1/24? I need a set for a '69 Lola T70 Mk III B.
