Another sharp one my friend! Very nice job. -
I used to work at Lonestar Peterbilt in Dallas back in "the day" and we deilvered Mary Kay a bunch of solid pink rigs. Story goes drivers got grief but shut down the hecklers with their good pay and well decked out fancy new Petes. Good pay, good rigs, decent runs....works for me. one could do a whole lot worse.

Very nice. Are you fabricating an LED controller or was part of the light bar kit? This thing is going to be a beast! On the LED's Henry, check Radio Shack if you are up for some simple soldering. They are getting out of this kind of stuff more and more nationwide (sadly). I picked up a large "kit" of LED's (about 20 or so) of various sizes/colors for $5. Ditto for microswitches. The other thing is check Dollar General and cheapo type stores for leftover LED Christmas light strings and little prelit "desktop trees". Usually a buck or less if they still have them. Granted they will likely be all one color (clear) but are usually pefect for headlights or interior lights. Sometimes these strings can difficult to tell the voltage required and polarity. Just try series connecting AAA batteries. Try one battery, then reverse the wires. Then two batts in series and reverse wires, then three....and so on. You might pop one LED in the process of figuring it out, but at this price, so what?.

Funny! You beat me too it! I now have Billy Dee Williams and Morgan Fairchild (well, sort of) as props in the Aero Astro "Time Bomb" project/thread going on the workbench section. You can take full blame or credit for the inspiriation..... LOL Greatly enjoy seeing your projects. Look forward to an update on this one. Take care. -

Nah.....we will just rename you Rosie the Riveter..... And for youngsters that dont know the real story. Google it and discover the truth going back to Westinghouse in 1942....not how it has been spun or corrupted over the past 40 years. This thing is going to be amazing Kenny. There are some truly fascinating scratch builds going on right now and thankful you guys share and allow us deer in the headlight minions to peek over your shoulders. Any chance of a youtube of how you are doing these rivets to get them straight and spaced? Did you make a template/jig? -
Dont know if you are doing a tri-drive, air ride pusher, or air lift pusher. If just a pusher axle (lift or not) google image search "Newway air lift pusher" and scroll through. There are some good shots in there once you start scrolling down of some actually applied and top views with lines, etc. Here is a sample of what I found with much larger pix available if you do this search and then go direct to the corresponding websites. A couple of different styles.... Good luck.

Another thing to try is KBB.com (kelley blue book). They have pix for each model year usually taken from OEM brochures so you can pick/point out some of the finer changes (grilles, tail lights, etc) that take place from year to year. I have not ever validated the accuracy of it, but for "real pix" it certainly is worth a try. And yes, LMC is an EXCELLENT source. Dimensionally, there is very very rarely any change in dimensions without a noticeable change (restyle) in sheetmetal. If all else fails, go by the windshield part numbers in LMC. That will allow you to define complete restyles as that is somewhat of a sacred cow. Good luck.

Do I need to put the gold nugget on the back burner and scratchbuild a 1/16 straight jacket for you? And knowing me and my methods, it would be made of used shoelaces and paper..... You rivet counter.... Gonna be incredible! The effort will pay off! -

Trying to put ten pounds of garbage in a 5 pound box, no? Or, as a student of mine once called it, "like worms in love" with all the piping. Curious to see if you do two aftercoolers or just merge them into one big one. In theory, either would work. Just asking....is the cab going to clear (especially on the lower right side rear of the sleeper) the "rear" turbo? Well done! Lots of fun watching this one morphing into a masterpiece John.! Gonna have to take some more genius pills to catch up with you on this one.
