  1. All because of lack of detail. Tamiya McLaren SLR. What! No full detail engine,i was expecting full detail at this price. Lindberg 48 Lincoln. Same with this, the engine is an joke. Arii Mercedes SLC. The interior is horrible, close to the Capri posted by Tom Geiger.
  2. And i like pretty much any US car made between 1900 and 1973 lol
  3. What a beautiful model.
  4. Very nicely done. Never seen any small scale with so much detail before i followed the WIP:
  5. These looks fantastic, really old cars have tons of charm.
  6. Nice looking 124,the color is very close to my 1:1 car (199 Blauswarch). But this kit comes full detail if i remember right?
  7. Very nice,as people have pointed out,the chassis and engine looks fantastic.
  8. Looks amazing,i guess you put a lot of effort into it since it`s twin turbo as well. Excellent build.
  9. Cool rod and nice details.
  10. Very nice and great color combo.
  11. Wow it`s pretty. Great work on the interior. Is it facotry color?
  12. Thanks for the suggestions. I have been handling it but to the minimal, and there is no sign of rubbing off issue. Btw i just read thru this thread, and if you read the first answer,it`s pretty much just how i did it. This said i had no clue how to start out or have i read this thread before. I just knew it required black gloss as base, and light coats of alclad. I will do my best to not handle the parts more then necessary, again thanks for great tip and suggestions. Edit: First answer in this thread: http://cs.scaleautomag.com/sca/general_discussion/f/3/t/108719.aspx
  13. Thanks, tip is always appriciated. What if i put on one coat of clear? Would it not protect the parts?
  14. Sounds like an good plan.
  15. I hope so. First try with Alclad from can. I used clear black from Tamiya as base. (Only headers, blower & intake)
  16. Yeah it really is annoying,i had this and one 70 Challenger pretty much ready,on the Challenger the decals totally disintegrated, maby of age,not sure. But one member on here was very helpful and sent me replacements. The Charger. I have painted the engine body color, also first time i try Alclad from can,and it looks really promising. Will try take some pictures of the parts, even if they wont do them justice, you get the idea. I also used Alclad on the headers, and looking on the XJ220 build on here with the sweet weathering on the exhaust,i would be tempted to try somthing similar.
  17. If i want cheap stuff i use Ebay. Select known brands, then "price-shipping-low first" and tons of stuff often have free shipping, also to the US.
  18. Sure looks amazing, great finish and detail. So used to see these as dusty gluebombs on ebay,so it`s nice to see one restored and brought to life.
  19. Very nicely done. I have never seen one of these in real life, either model or 1:1 so must be rare.
  20. Impressive to see what you made out of salvage parts kits. Beautiful model.
  21. Amazing attention to detail,it looks fantastic.
  22. Looks great.the grey one as well. Are the tire lettering decals? Really makes a diffrence.
  23. Sure is one classy Willys. I really love the color combo, and that steering wheel looks like you taken out of a classic Riva.
  24. Creative and odd in a good way. Now it would be cool to see the taillights light up,cool design.
  25. Great colors and detail,really pretty 58.
