Thanks for the comments. Yes it`s a really stupid car but it was fun build it. I thought it could be cool with a roofrack and put some slicks on it,maby i`ll do it later if i find anyone who makes roofracks. Few more.

Tamyia TS-13 is back
om617 replied to martinfan5's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have used Tamiya TS-13 and find it to be very nice, one coat is close to enough. I would really like to try out Testors (So man cool custom colors) ,but very few does ship spraycans, and those who do is really expensive. I dont get why some can ship and other dont,is there diffrent laws from state to state about shipping outside of the US? -
Old Volvo and 63 Fury in very nice condition arrived today. But why would you make decal sheet with kangaroos on?

Overall i would call it done even if i`m not happy about finish here and there. This is the Tamiya 66 Beetle with the Tamiya Ferrari Testarossa drivetrain. I just wanted to try somthing completly ridiculous and i think it fit the category. At first it was going to be sleeper paint and dull everything but i think me looking to much on Cal lookers on google made me change it. Look wise it is stock beside little lowering, the Porsche wheels, and all red rear lamps. I think the body and the dash is the only thing that have not been modified or fondled with lol. Paint is sating black with red seats. I forgot number plates, pedals and oil reservoir cap. Also i should have drilled the exhaust pipes. Here are some pics. Hope you like and comments are always welcome.

Got this one painted as the sun is out and there is some warm weather. Done the foil, put on decal and the some coat of clear. Maby not the most exciting color,it`s tamiya champagne. Since the pro street style is a bit crazy,i thought tone it down with the color,so white top, decal and interior. Here are some pics. The chassis is half AMT and half Revell. Not done painting. Interior. Some flocking and bmf added. No cage and i still wanted back seat. Tires and wheels. The wheels are machined aluminium from "customs by terry" on Ebay. The body so far. Needs some side marker painted, door handles, wipers, bumpers and other small things. Not made an decission on engine but the 426 with supercharger is one option. Another is the Gibson engines, but they cost a lot so not sure. Some pro mod converted to street gas would be cool, got to think about it a little more. I guess it`s not everyone cup of tea but comments are welcome by anyone. Thanks for looking.

Thanks. The problem here is cost of shipping. Also the price on cars are unrealistic high.

Thanks Harry. This is the answer so far.

Coming along very nicely. -
Amazing detail

Thanks. There is more wire and plumbing on these pasta engines then i hoped for,but getting there. Will need handbrake, shifter, some clamps for the air intake hose and organize the wires a little nicer, and some other little things, then i think it`s more or less ready. I figure i have to stop fondle or it will never end lol

So why has the price of model kits gone up?
om617 replied to greymack's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I do most shopping for kits on Ebay and most new kit`s seem reasonable. One thing that have skyrocket is the price on shipping Example, some charge close to $50 for priority,it`s insaine. -
