  1. How cool is that!?!?! I have seen this kit for sale at NNL East a couple of times and have always thought it was sooo cool. Nice job!!
  2. I really like the 58 Chevy and you have really nailed this one. Looks very nice Tommy.
  3. Thanks zenrat, another neat idea I would not have thought of.
  4. Thank you Cobraman! I have a fully documented WIP that I may post here. I will take some "beauty shots" after NNL East. It has some flaws but it is my most researched and detailed build to date.
  5. The latest ones that I am aware of are Revell of Germany's Red Bull cars. Vettel and Weber.
  6. Thanks Chip. Any idea how sticky that tape is? Should I be worried about it pulling paint off the parts? Danno, that is agreat idea but I think I am beyond the point of adding steel to the parts. Maybe I could add the magnets directly to the panels. I believe the magnets are fairly small. The base is being made by a friend and will be finished and polyurethaned. I could add small magnets to it as well. Might look nicer if I counter-sink them. Blu-Tack was my quick solution but I am not sure how it would react with the paint, (Tamiya), and the base.
  7. 2006 Nissan 350Z?! Yep, I'll be watching
  8. Hello everyone! I need help ASAP. I just finished this 1:12 Lotus F1, (a commission build), and I am going to debut it at NNL East. I need help or opinions on how to mount these body panels to a display base that is being made for it. I am going to leave the body panels pretty much as you see them but would like to be able to install them on the car as needed. The car will be removed from the base for transport to shows but I would like the panels to stay put during transport. I am thinking something like Blu-Tack. Any and all help is appreciated!!!
  9. I am the same as Tom. Hobby room and paint booth in the basement. I have a dehumidifier down there. I didn't paint yesterday due to the fact that it rained. Painted today and the dehumidifier did its job.
  10. I'm not sure that I've ever heard of or seen the Revellion before. What a cool model!! Nice job on both of them. Glad you were able to find and build your grails.
  11. I'm not sure what I am more envious of; the model or the photography Well both actually. Very nice!!
  12. It will be a pleasure to watch this WIP.
  13. Gorgeous
  14. Very nice indeed!
  15. I think it looks very good Robin. Did you brush paint the body or is that the kit plastic? I have this kit and I'm glad to see it built. Thanks for sharing it with us!
  16. Mikemodeler has a good idea. I use my spare NASCAR bodies for paint practice. They are relatively smooth and provide a nice canvas. I use them for decal / paint / setting solution testing.
  17. Beautiful!!
  18. Both cars look fantastic! Both look to be very cleanly built. I will give my nod to the McLaren for my favorite.
  19. I like seeing models like this. I know nothing about this genre but I can tell a nicely built model when I see one, and this is one of them. Thanks for sharing!
  20. Looks great Mike!
  21. What can I say that hasn't already been said? So, very, very nice!
  22. Very cool idea and you pulled it off to a "T". It could not have been easy to cut all of those decals and get them to match up so perfectly.
  23. Nice Toyotas! I never get tired of seeing well built racers.
  24. I really like it in black. For me, the black paint and the chrome wheels look good together. Nice job!!
