  1. Erik, I think Curtis hit the nail on the head with his explanation. I have also taken thread and stripped it down to a single strand and wrapped it around the "pad" to make it look like cable ties. Make a simple knot and cut the ends of the string. Make sure to get any "fuzzies" off of the thread. One tiny drop of super glue on the knot and you are good to go!
  2. Monty, not sure if this is going to help. I used TS-21 as a base coat for one of Tamiya's greens. I only have indoor pics but I will post pics of the body with flash and without. Let me know if you need any other info. One picture of the finished product.
  3. I've followed your builds for some time John, this is my first time posting a comment on them and I'm not sure which adjectives to use! Great work as always. You set the bar high. Gives me something to shoot for.
  4. I've looked at this one several times now and I like it more each time I see it. Very nice Delfin!
  5. Definitely not a factory color. I like it though. I think the graphic on the hood looks good. Wheels and interior look good too. Nice job all the way around!
  6. You gotta love this board, both entertaining and educational! I appreciate the information on a 962 vs. a 956. Thanks to Mauricio and Dale. I did not know this. After reading several other discussions on the 'net it appears that there is not a truly accurate model of either (?) Vernon, the Jagermeister decals are the kit decals. IIRC, they laid down nicely with no problems.
  7. Thanks for the info Mauricio. I have one (or more ) of the 962s in my stash. I'll have to pull one out sometime and compare the bodies. I think both models are gorgeous machines.
  8. Shoot, I like them both! I have to give the edge to the restored one. That is a very clean build. The panel lines look great as does the engine bay. Nice job!
  9. Thanks again for the comments guys. Mauricio, I double checked the RoG box and it says it is a 956C. I checked the internet and found that the 962 replaced the 956. To my eye they look very close to each other. Is there something on the model that makes it look like a 962? I am not too familiar with these cars and couldn't tell the difference, even if you ran me over with one....
  10. Nicely done Derek!! This is one of the cars / liveries that you either love or hate. With the outstanding job you did it is hard not to love it!
  11. Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate them . Curtis, I honestly don't remember if I added those or not. I looked at the model in its case and it sure looks like they were added but I just don't remember.....getting old I guess .
  12. Very, very nice Ken.
  13. Nice job on both of them!
  14. This is another older build. This was built from the RoG 1:24 kit. This was my selection for a 24 hour build. I did get the kit finished in 24 hours however I did touch up a few things afterwards. It was a fairly simple kit and I had very few problems with it. I hope you like it!
  15. This looks good in that green. Like Dave said, you don't see that too much. Good looking model.
  16. It just gets better and better!
  17. I'm a little late to the party but I hope this helps. I am having some of the same issues and I went to the "help" section, (located on the top, right). Although they didn't have exact instructions on how to fix the problems I was able to see that I was not the only one having the problems and that they were aware of it, etc. It might be worth looking over the various topics and you might find that they know about your exact problem. One of the issues was loading pics into a particular album.
  18. I have always liked this car. I think it is gorgeous. You don't see this model very often. It looks like you have done a great job on this. The paint and decals look like they both laid down s-m-o-o-t-h .

    Lil Lambo

That is some amazingly clean building, especially considering it is 1:43 scale. Very nice.
  20. Another build thread I'll have to follow!
  21. You are doing a GREAT job on this so far! It is really looking good.
  22. Tommy, you know from TMM that I am a life long member of the "roadhawg fan club" . It is because of builds like this. You have talent my friend. Thanks for sharing!
  23. Hey Juan, WIP is work-in-progress. I have both of the kits you are talking about and will someday get to them. I really like the C9s. Good luck on your build!
