Beautiful build Jason!!! This may be the first time I have seen it done in white and I have to say it does look good.

Fruit Wagon !

How cool is that! Nice job on both models. I really like the splash of color the melons give to the truck. It really catches your eye. Did you make the melons or were they already made? -
Wow Carl, that is a beautiful Mustang! She looks good in blue.

Tamiya 1/24 1982 Renault 5 Turbo Rally (Twin's Build)

They are looking good Juan! No one can argue with your results. For me, masking is my least favorite part of building models. I just don't like it. Keep up the good work, I enjoy following it. -
Thanks for the comments guys! As Tom said, this is Revell's Snap-Tite kit. It was just a quick build and it gave me the chance to try something new, (gold base coat). BTW, I really like the way they paint turned out over the gold. I will try some other colors this way.

NICE!!! Looks like you did a great job on it. -
Beautiful color and shine! Something about that blue and gold wheels that I really like. Nice job!

This model was a quick "slump buster" for me. Minimal work on the chassis and interior. I had never used gold as a base coat before. I wanted to see what it would do with Tamiya TS52 - Candy Lime Green. I also like to play around with lighting, backgrounds, etc. Here are the results. Hope you like it! Same angle, softer light. I also took pictures on a black background. I'll share two to let you see how it changes how you see the car.

Glad you finished it! I think it turned out very nice. It is such a beautiful car that it looks good no matter what. BTW, I'm watching the F1 race as I type this, (I DVR'd it).

This has to be one of my favorite builds of this car. I really like the color and stance. Nice job on the interior as well. I agree with the others, cool display board!!!

Man Juan, I'm sorry to hear you are having so many problems with this car. I have been watching the build and it looks like you were really enjoying it until recently. I was too! Hope you finish it and good luck with the rest of it.

I have been looking for this kit for some time but was never able to find it. Recently saw a picture of Steve Allemand's beautifully built example. I e-mailed him and he was gracious enough to e-mail me information about the kit as well as some helpful hints on building it. As luck would have it I found one on an auction site and it was a "Buy it Now". I did! I just received it yesterday.

Please post pics of kits you've painted with Tamiya TS-21 gold.
Nacho Z replied to Monty's topic in Model Cars
I had no problems at all. -
Erik, I think Curtis hit the nail on the head with his explanation. I have also taken thread and stripped it down to a single strand and wrapped it around the "pad" to make it look like cable ties. Make a simple knot and cut the ends of the string. Make sure to get any "fuzzies" off of the thread. One tiny drop of super glue on the knot and you are good to go!

Monty, not sure if this is going to help. I used TS-21 as a base coat for one of Tamiya's greens. I only have indoor pics but I will post pics of the body with flash and without. Let me know if you need any other info. One picture of the finished product. -
I've looked at this one several times now and I like it more each time I see it. Very nice Delfin!

Definitely not a factory color. I like it though. I think the graphic on the hood looks good. Wheels and interior look good too. Nice job all the way around!

You gotta love this board, both entertaining and educational! I appreciate the information on a 962 vs. a 956. Thanks to Mauricio and Dale. I did not know this. After reading several other discussions on the 'net it appears that there is not a truly accurate model of either (?) Vernon, the Jagermeister decals are the kit decals. IIRC, they laid down nicely with no problems.

Thanks for the info Mauricio. I have one (or more ) of the 962s in my stash. I'll have to pull one out sometime and compare the bodies. I think both models are gorgeous machines.
