  1. Yeah the wheels was something i wanted to go in a different direction other then the BBS RS or RMs. Plus i don't have nor would ever shell out the kind of cash that people ask for them... And yes i'm awear of what the ETAs where and came in. We didn't get the M21s over here unless someone imported one. So people over here use the b27 shortblock and b25 top end. It makes pretty much the same power as the stock b25 but has a little more torque and really low compression. But it's good for boost if one would want to do that! There's also a few people who put the m30s in theirs over here. But most popular is the m5x. Then you have the rest, like V8's from BMW and GM as swaps that are catching on. We got the 318iS over here, but only for 1991. I got to ride in one. We were merging onto the interstate, I made the comment that it didn't run to bad! The guy replied, it's pretty much to the floor... I was like oh........ He just sighed and said yeah... But both the driver and I where pretty use to a car with more grunt to it. So the m42 was kind of pokey in our book.
  2. My dad had a 70 Road Runner with that color combo in the mid 70's. It's pretty nice. Like to see this model done!
  3. Thanks, but all i see is a 68 Road Runner.
  4. Hey don't sweat it! It's your build and you can do as you please. I just got the impression that you was going for a bone stock car. And i was just pointing out one of the inaccuracies that 69 GTXs didn't get an 6BBL option. I had this kit many years ago and wouldn't mind getting another one and making it look like the 68 GTX i had in real life. Seeing that they didn't make a 68 GTX model that i know of. But build on! I'd like to see it finished.
  5. i highly doubt that, that there 69 GTX is an "M" code car. The Six Pack came out in 69 1/2 for the Super Bee and Road Runner. In 1970 is when they came on Coronet R/Ts, Super Bees, Challenger R/Ts, Charger R/Ts, Superbirds, Cuda's, Road runners, GTXs, and very few Sport Furys. http://www.allpar.com/mopar/440.html
  6. Looking good! But the 69 GTX never came with a 440 6Bbl
  7. Intake and carbs changed. i like this a lot better. Bare Metal foiled it and got the wheel tire setup i want, plus put the windows in it. Still needs finished, but thats my progress for the weekend!
  8. There's a local ChevyII with a high flake paint. Kind of hard to see in this crappy cell phone picture. And i think i an going to change the intake to a cross ram.
  9. I got the paint at wal mart. But will warn you guys that it goes on ruff. The clear is is drying and makes it look like it has some orange peel. I wanted a high sparkle paint and thought i'd try it. It's not a show model like others on here. But my skills aren't that well. I did get a name for it, "Gas Chamber" and the colors of the name look like it will flow well with the car.
  10. Little update... Got it cleared, tinted the rear windows and headlights yellow. and painted the int. an ugly green.
  11. yeah, i was on the fence with putting that tunnel ram and carb setup on it or the ol cross ram setup. Thought i'd do a little different with this one here.
  12. Yeah it's a US based e30 forum, I'm the Admin on it. Eventhough it's mostly US based e30's, We do have a wide base of members all over the world on it too. So it's not just US e30's thats posted up on there. And yes we kind of did get the shaft on the side of good stuff for these cars. But from what i hear we are blessed not to have the M40 over here. But if you ever feel like taking a peek to see what we are doing over here on the other side of the pond. You're more then welcome to look! And here's my old e30 that i had, 1987 325eS. Note it did have our pokey m20b27. But has no catalytic converters, no airbag, no safetybelt warning, nor big bumpers with impact strips
  13. It's Krylon Citrus Dream glitter paint.
  14. I'm the type who usually builds a model in my spare time and tend to hop from model to model. I've been up in the air on what color to paint this model. But finally picked one. I need to find a name for the door and then clear it. need to figure out a rear end setup for it too. I got the wheelbase moved forward, not much but is noticable with the loger wheel openings. I will update this thread as i progess with the model. I made the headers, but need to figure out what to use on the ends of them to finish them off.
  15. Nice e30!!! You wouldn't happen to be on R3VLimited. com, would you?
  16. My daily driver, beat up 91 GMC Sonoma ST Fun car, 96 Pontiac Firehawk LT1 383 stroker 6spd Fun car, 65 Chevrolet Corvair Monza. 140hp 4spd
  17. Thank you for the welcome! And very surprised someone heard of Beans Cove!
  18. I just found this forum yesterday, and browsed around and liked what i seen! I've been doing models since a young kid, i'm now 33. I'm not as good as most people, but it is a relaxing hobby. I mostly do pre 1972 American cars/trucks. I do tend to put a couple of newer models together from time to time. Most i do are 1.24/1.25 scale. Have done a few big sclale ones though. I'm not new to how a forum works, and so i won't be a total noob at posting or finding the search button lol. Here are a few that i've done 1.8th 1.24 and 1.25 few i'm in the middle of
