  1. I'll still pick one up, as long as the stock and modified parts are still in the kit. Cause I'll just toss the Foose stuff in the trash anyways.
  2. I just watched a little of the movie on YouTube. And it looks like the car maybe a 318 car. In a few scenes it looks like a V eight emblem is on the front fender. Also I noticed the car is a A/C car to!
  3. True, but how many 4 door A bodys came with big blocks though
  4. Not to shabby for returning to the hobby.
  5. Nice build. But why a big block? A slant six or a 2bbl 318 would be more correct.
  6. This is an awesome kit. I started it, building a T bucket, and the extra chopped coupe body and other parts I'm using on a r bucket frame that I found in my mess of parts.
  7. I lived in Decatur IL for 20 plus years before moving in 2004. I never heard of this place, when did it start up?
  8. Yes, common sense tells you that about the first part of your post. And please tell me where I said personally that you should change the wires... And the wires on my real cars don't need changed that I installed myself if you want to be so critical on people changing wires on their real car.
  9. This right here. I am pretty new on here and see very minimal " negativity" so to say. It's not really a great way to put it, but in a political correct world, that's how it is viewed. I ask for any feedback negative or positive in my builds. I know I'm not the best at building models, but haven't got much other then the oversized plugwires I used. And it was pretty much just a suggestion. So without any comments that aren't positive in any way. How is one to learn? Life isn't the Special Olympics where everyone wins. And to the OP, I see you say,you got it finished. Go ahead and make a thread in the Underglass section for all to see your completed work.
  10. Yes it is. To post # 5 and 35. People where confused what the yellow things where. They thought they where breather tubes, and you agreed saying "pretty much". Then all the sudden they become plug wires. Then let's move on to post 35 where you state that it takes more skill to wire a real car. That's why I'm asking how many real cars you've worked on. As for the age, its just to see where you're coming from, is this a project of a 12yo or 42yo?
  11. I'm just wondering, how many real cars have you worked on and how old are you?
  12. Yes it is his model, and can do as he pleases. But people are just trying to help. I ran into this wire debate when I posted up my 69 GTX build. I used phone wire, it did look good, but there was room for improvement. I finally found wire that was small enough and used it. Now it looks great. So bottom line is that most people in this thread are trying to help. Like the advice of wire size and where the wire goes on a BBC.
  13. Does this kit have stock wheels?
  14. Cool. But not feeling the Ford engine...
  15. Nice, I need to finish mine.
  16. Very nice work. The wheels need some silver unless you was wanting chrome rallys.
  17. So what you put on the model, are they suppose to be plug wires or breather tubes?
  18. This is pretty cool build!
  19. I'll try some yellow on one and see how it turns out.
  20. Nice detail. But if you're going for an all stock look. The valve covers should be engine color and the Mopar "Do not wash or oil" decal should be on the side of the aircleaner.
  21. It's an 1/8" piece of ceiling material for a travel trailer (i worked for Fleetwood Travel Trailer). I painted it with gray primer, then light coat of flat black. I used a yellow paint marker for the lines. The grass I painted brown then some green. I then put model railroad grass over it. I've had it for many years, that's where the weathered look is coming from. It sitting around and getting dirty and beat up.
  22. All in due time I would like a set of yellow ones for this. I been doing my own wire setup with beading wire. But its only black. I had some prewired distributors coming and one was with yellow wires, but the seller decided not to have any communication and never sent what I payed for. I ended up getting my money back after I opened a dispute.
  23. It's misaligned is what we are saying. The fan should be inline with the water pump.
  24. Interesting... May want to recheck your belt/pulley assembly though.
