  1. Not much of an update. Did get a set of red lines for it, and put the rear end under it. Also took my wire setup off and got a prewired unit, waiting for it to get here. I used my wire for the breather and pvc valve. Need to get to town to get paint for the wheels soon. The int i got to put the shifter in it. Most likely will get further on it this weekend.
  2. They are a fun car. Kind of like a go kart lol. I got a 140hp with 4speed in mine. The 140 isn't stock So it's even more fun to drive and get looks from people from the way it sounds!
  3. Nice build! It is a model of lesser detail and you done it up right! I got 3 of these kits to finish, plus i own a 65 Corvair too.
  4. It's close, but here's the T5 and T7. A black and white int would look good in it also. T5 T7
  5. Very nice to keep it looking factory. Love the color. I had a 67 Coronet R/T it was a 440 auto though.
  6. Thanks, but I think I am going to look around some more for thinner wire to use. That's pretty much how my GTX was. But it was 440 auto with no options what so ever. Man steering, man brakes. AM radio, but it did have a light package. Some lady school teacher bought it brand new.
  7. Yep, the brake set up is from the 68/69 dart. And this is my first try for the wire setup. I used phone wire. Cause I seen that site on here the other day when looking around. I seen the price of one and just decided to try to make my own. And I'm always open for criticism They are on the thick side though...
  8. Did a little more to it. Was nice outside and i enjoyed my real car other then sitting inside. But did work on it some. chrome foiled started to detail the engine bay. and engine (yes the manifolds are an orange, i tryed to make them look like the paint was burning off of them since thats how factory was) and started on the chassis. The int i just got everything sitting in it. But think i'm going to get a dull coat to cover the seats. Thats all for now, thanks for looking.
  9. Very sharp! Good job.
  10. Is that your Corvair in your avatar? I got a 65 myself!
  11. I'm more of a Challenger fan myself. So going with the Challenger. Also, you got 71 centers on the rallys of the Challenger. Should be silver
  12. That looks great!! But may i suggest putting the black in the Keystones? And where did you order your prewired distributor?
  13. Noob question... Where are you guys getting your prewired distributors at?
  14. Here's the one i got for 50 cents at a yard sale in the mid 80's, Like i said, it is missing a few things. and someone tried to glue some of it.
  15. Blurry picture, but trying out the white stripe. Also painted the chassis. Wasn't to for sure how neat Mopar was when spraying the black on the bottom of the car, so i put some over spray onto the underneath of it.
  16. I got the one that the OP posted in the first post. I'll get pictures of it tomorrow. I think the kit is all there but missing only a few parts.
  17. Looking around to see what these could of came with and noticed one could get a white stripe instead of red. So i think i'm going to go different with white instead of the red that came with the kit.
  18. I like the GTX. Far as the color goes, it wasn't offered on the GTX, nor was a silver side stripe. But seeing it here, looks like they should of !!!
  19. I can't remember the color code that my 68 was, but I think it was called frost green maybe. I've had a couple of 70 Darts and they where EB7 blue. This blue here is pretty close to it.
  20. Thanks, its a dupli color paint. Don't recall the name, just grabbed it due to I liked the color! Ordered some blue flocking for the carpet, but this will probably be the only picture for this weekend. I should be able to do more to it though the week though.
  21. I know i have many models to finish up. But after seeing the many late 60's b-body threads on here, i had to pick up one. I got a 69 GTX. I was going to do it up like my old 68 GTX i had. But couldn't find the correct color locally. So i'm just going to make this a pretty much box stock with a few details extra. It will be a 440 car with no air grabber, and will get the recall wheels with redline tires probably. It will be a med blue met, with a blue int. and no hood stripes.. Here is the start of the project. Just one picture though.
  22. I never had any luck with white paint, so i said screw it i'm clearing over the plastic... As for the chassis, i know it should be a primer/sealer color with white overspray. But i'm not going to be to particular with it on this model. I just wanted a model that was fun to build in my spare time and not to complicated. The headers i did about 7 months ago. and i'll look out for sagging.
  23. Its sunny out and i'm wanting to see what it looked like mostly together. Some of the parts are just sitting on it. Plus I'm not to for sure if i'm liking the headers as long as they are? But here are some more pictures.
  24. You're thinking of the 1966 D/Stock Dart. It had a 273 with bigger carb, hotter cam, and a set of headers in them. They never made a Hemi Dart for the street. All LO23 Darts where sold as is and with no titles IIRC. Now you could get a 340 and 383 in the GTS in 68. Then in 69 you could get a 340 in the Swinger and 340, 383, and 440 in the GTS. But no Hemi's. But back to this model. I love the color! And the wheel choice!
