How much did you pay for this kit?
-
Nice detail!! And i always wondered why they give you a RoadRunner horn for the windshield wiper motor in these kits?
-
Thanks, the e30 is a Fujimi and the Porsche is a Testors/Italeria.
-
Pretty cool idea.

I was asking the OP, but thanks for replying for him anyways... I got to looking at it closer, i see that it's just the top of the nose, fenders, engine bay and part of the cowl that is flat. When i first seen it, it looked like the whole front clip was flat black. That's why i was asking, i was a little confused to what the reasoning behind a whole front clip being flat. But makes sence seeing it follows the top of the body line.
-
i got to ask, Why is the front end flat?
-
Got this done, i wanted to do something different. It's not perfect, but i'm fairly happy. The rear diffuser should be body color, i found that out after i finished it.. Here's a rundown of what all is done; color is a GM duplicolor (don't know name) It did crack in a few places. engine out of a late model GTO rear suspension is Subaru WRX wheels from INITIAL D FD3S Mazda RX7 exhaust is solder and muffers from 69 Plymouth GTX Pictures are a little dark since the sun wasn't out
-
Got it done faster then i though t i was going to. The paint cracked in a few spots on it, and since it did. I now recall it did it on another model with this color. So off in the trash with that can... But anyways, i'll post it up in under glass and here are a few of the under side and int. I didn't go into much detail with it, also my skills aren't really up there to make these look real lol. But here you go. And the rear suspension setup is out of a WRX. More picts will be in Under Glass section.

This is true, the car may look like a brick at first, but get looking at it, there are a lot of rounded edges. And funny thing about this kit. The headlights has holes from the factory that the LEDs fit rite in!
-
nice box stock build. Some info that you may not know, is that they changed the Scat Pack bee for 69 to this one here,
-
Haha, neat project! The hood scoop looks a little over the top, even thought the model is crazy to start with. Maybe make some nice lump/buldge in the hood to clear the engine, then have a vent or small scoop of to the side where the airbox is. Thats my input on the scoop.
-
Thank you, and i think that Chris Bangle (an American) was the design cheif soon after these cars where done.
-
I built this about 4 years ago. As anyone who has built this model before, they know it sucks in the detail department... I added LEDs for the headlights and tail lights. The wheels are from a Dodge Daytona kit, and the front airdam is from a BMW e24 kit along with the pin stripes. I can't remember what kit the rear apron is off of. Maybe the Fujimi Hartge BMW e30. i did a quick search and didn't see many of this kit posted. So i thought i'd toss mine up. First picture is to show what it looks like in light eventhough it isn't finished in it, Now for the finished ones. They are about 2 years old though... I kind of made the car look like a real e30 that i had

Why do people keep calling the OP Jason, LOL. Looks like James to me
-
i think it's around the size of an RX7 FC or 2nd gen RX7 what ever you ant to call them, this body here,
-
It's an improvment! What wire did you use this time? And you may run into issues with the wires so long and the engine fitting into the enginebay, they might hit the firewall and fenderwells.
-
They have. When I googled to see what the engine bay of a 944 looked like, there where a few with LSx's in them.
-
Thanks! Didn't expect this many comments so far! In all honesty, i'm not that big on the LS series engines. Even more so in older american cars. I'd much rather see a old big block or small block between the fenderwells. But when it comes to foregin cars, i don't really care lol. Seeing most of them came with boat anchors for a engine anyways. I guess thats why i'm kind of happy with this model, i think to myself (how cool would one of these be in real life!). I do think i'm going to skip out on the STS turbo idea on this.
-
I've had this model for a while and never know what direction to take it. Till a couple of weeks ago, when i was cleaning up and found a GTO kit with the LSx (lightbulb glowing in my head). Will it work? looks like it will! I painted it a GM color with Duplicolor, (not to for sure the name) I'm going to go with a tan int, and the wheels are from a INITIAL D FD3S Mazda RX7 i think... I may make a STS turbo setup for it. I'm not to for sure on that. I want to keep this a simple yet fun model. Only picture i got, and it's from a cell phone.

I think this qoute above needs echoed... Good words from customers go a long ways. But a picture is also worth a 1000 words! I do see people posting up, basiclly putting words in the sellers mouth (Modelhaus). Saying they need no new customers, they are to busy, no time to take pictures of their product. too many things to take pictures of, and so on and so on. But this is 2013 not 1957 when you see something for sale and it only has a description to where you need your imagination to think what it looks like.

Attention AMC fans
JasonC replied to Luc Janssens's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'll pick up a copy. I had a 70 AMX, it was a 390 4 speed car with the Go Pack. -
I like the color on the e34.

Gold 69 Nova motor and interior update 5/17/13
JasonC replied to outragis's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Love the whole combo of it, minus the hood.... -
I just used Google maps to see where he was located. It took me to a house out by Mt. Zion, IL. Granted i lived by Mt. Zion and had a Decatur address to. But when i lived out there i didn't go no further then the local hobby shop (Hammers Hobbys) So anything aftermarket for a model car to me was probably alien to me lol.

Slant six cars also had a/c from the factory. But then again I dubt that they would use an anemic slant six to do do this film since its just one long chase lol.
