  1. Here are my 6 color choices. Frame will be semi gloss Black.
  2. Thanks. So the question now becomes how did the hood end up fitting?
  3. No. I know the cab was set that way. It just looks as if there is a slight tilt as if it's not sitting level.
  4. I really like this a lot. Very nicely done on the fabrication for the build. Nothing cooler than an Upstate NY Municipality Dump/Plow. I saw a good number of them as a teenager as my Grandparents lived in Eldred, NY (Orange County). There was a local municipality garage near them. You should be proud.
  5. Hello all hope everyone is well. I have a question in regard to the MPC Mack DM600. For the cab has anyone out there who has built the model had an issue with the cab sitting level over the interior bucket? I've seen some examples on the internet where if look at a picture of the back of the cab it appears off kilter. I have attached an example. It could be the camera angle of the picture.
  6. Thanks thus far everyone. It's always nice to hear about progress on kits. Just need to finish this one in short order.
  7. I agree with all that was said above. However remember the livery for the 4070A in the kit decals was Loadmasters Transportation Ames, Iowa. All the more reason to have a longer wheelbase as it probably did a lot of West Coast runs.
  8. Thanks. I just wish I could build the vertical stack. The kit one is bad.
  9. Just about 2 years ago I bought the latest reissue of the AMT LNT8000 Snowplow. Originally was doing the dump truck but changed my mind and decided to go with a tractor. Where I grew up in Long Island the LN Series was a popular truck. I was partial to the LNT8000 which was used by grocery haulers, and truck rental companies. The stubby nose was pretty cool. Hoping to finish her soon as it’s been a tough 2 years.
  10. Was thinking a Revell W900 Aerodyne. However may have second thoughts. Only time will tell.
  11. I always liked Grabber Green myself. Grabber Blue was my next favorite.
  12. Thank you. I am looking forward to see if I can pull it off. For the green shade someone recommended using Krylon Sea Foam Green. We'll give it whirl.
  13. Harvey good morning and I hope my reply finds you well. Thank you for providing me with the information. The kit I believe is the Round 2 reissue. That being said I would assume it's the post '73-'74. So what brand/color would be best to replicate the Mack Tan?
  14. Brian thank you for the tips. I agree with you as I’m not quite sure if I want to go too crazy with it. Box stock is probably the way to go.
  15. Hello all hope everyone’s well. Have some questions in regard to converting the MPC Mack DM600 into a U600. I know that frames are different as the DM is a construction site frame. That being said based on Roadway decals found in the box what do I need to know prior to starting the conversion?
  16. Have decided that my build off entry will be the Revell USA W900 Aerodyne. I am going to be trading the Western Star. Still on the fence about color(s). I know it will be narrowed down to a shade of Aqua, a Blue similar to the picture, a nice Green, or perhaps a color in the spectrum. Color choice is always the toughest for me to decide on.
  17. Hello all, Hope everyone's well. Have a question on the best (see easiest) way to assemble the AMT (Italeri) Freightliner FLC cab. I see by the instructions sheet that it has a good number of pieces. SO that out of the way do you build the interior, then the outer cab around it. Or vice versa? As always help is appreciated. Thank you. Regards, Jerry
  18. Mine are pretty normal for a kid from the 1960's, 1970's. 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1 455, 1970 Chevelle SS454 LS6, 1969-1971 Pontiac GTO, 1968 Camaro SS396, 1970 AMC AMX 390, 1969 Plymouth 383/440 GTX, 1959 Impala, 1973 Camaro Z28. Not asking a lot, am I?
  19. Very nicely done both look great. Thanks for sharing.
  20. Hello all, hope everyone is well. I have some questions in regard to resin parts. I never have used them at all. Have a front visor I am going to use on the Revell USA KW W900 Aerodyne. So questions are: How do I prep the piece? How much surface sanding do I have to do? Are there any primers/paints that don't play nice with the resin? What glue works best? Epoxy, CA (super glue), standard model glue? As always any help is appreciated. Thank you.
