  1. Stripes package done. Just laid on frame for now. Not perfect but pleased.
  2. Cab repainted. I love this shade of Red.
  3. Progress made. Gotta love Winter.......... said Jerry never.
  4. Decided to put another engine together. Most likely will install her as a factory fresh motor.
  5. The grime is acrylic black craft paint
  6. Gary, Thank you. Good question/ Unsure at this time. I may whip up a new one and either leave it factory fresh, or really concentrate on getting a better grime wash on it. I have a couple of other things planned in the works. One being a front visor, and the other being a surprise reveal. I just need to repaint the cab as I had an oops and had to strip it down. When the weather is better I'll reprime then paint her. Cab, and hood were painted the same color but I may go a different route on the cab color. We shall see.
  7. Change of plans. Using a brand new frame went with the Rustoleum Gloss Apple Red.
  8. Hello all, hope everyone is well. As the title says I'd like to see the fruits of your labor. Thank you. Regards, Jerry
  9. Yes when it snows I get bored. Not 15 again like I was in 1976 and I shoveled walks and driveways for $3.00 while everybody else charged $20.00 plus. 7 driveways, walkways netted me $21.00 and I then blew it on soda, and Ring Dings. That being said ever since I saw the original White Freightliner issue. The one with the Green CF tractor I wanted to build it. So during this snowstorm I got bored and started the build. Originally a Royal Blue cab I sprayed it over in John Deere Green last fall and put it to the side. I found an original set of CF/Allied Van Lines decals in my decals stash. They were intact, just a little slivering after applying them. So I brushed on some Microset and I’m satisfied. Also started the SD frame and so far so good. I will post as I go along.
  10. Some frame work tonight, and test fitting the engine.
  11. Decided on a color for the cab, and hood. Rustoleum Apple Red. Using the kit supplied Seminole Striping. I always say I love these kits. Simple, easy, awesome. Endless possibilities for building it the way you want to build it.
  12. So as I ponder the numerous unbuilt, or started models I have I keep going back to my AMT 1968 Camaro Z28. The ‘68 is my favorite one of all time. I have been thinking of doing it like the Hot Wheels one I had as a kid. Thinking of painting it in Blue or Green. Could use some tips on where to source the following. A Stinger or Cowl induction hood. Wider rear wheels/tires. Traction bars. Distributor, and wires. Rattle can appropriate Green, or Blue gloss paints. As always any help is most appreciated. Regards, Jerry
  13. WOW that’s awesome. My Mom had a 59 2 door. Blue with a Blue interior. She paid $2,500.00 brand new loaded.
  14. Okay number one love the job you did. However what difficulties did you encounter? I’ve heard hood issues ( tilt and clearance ). Anything else? Thanks Jerry
  15. So I guess you could say I have some that need to be started, and in some cases finished. In any event come Springtime the paint will be flying, and the scent of glue will be prevalent. At this point I’m frankly lucky my Wife hasn’t said “Lucy you got some “splainin’” to do.
