  1. Thanks. Now maybe they can find us the Transtar CO4070B molds
  2. Thanks Gator. I like the simplicity of these kits regardless of the wheel/tire issues and no front visor.
  3. Okay thanks I’ll try that. Also as I look at it. I’m not that pleased with the curves at the front of the cab. Hoping the kit stripes can be of help. If not them oh well I tried. Have a great day.
  4. Thanks Gator I’m trying. Also some slightly rough areas on the roof of the cab. You only learn as you progress.
  5. Thanks Just did the Green on the cab. May need slight touch up . But I’m pretty happy with it. Have to see if the 2n1 kit curved stripes will matchup to eliminate some of the obvious issues.
  6. Good day all hope everyone’s well. Well lo and behold the weather today in the greater Southern Nrw Jersey region it’s 63 degrees. Thus allowing me to break out the BRBO Project. The cab and hood are painted in Testors Model Master Dark Sea Blue enamel. The frame is Rustoleum Regal Red.
  7. Thanks for all the shares they’re all very well done.
  8. The ladder steps on the other hand. What a tedious nightmare.
  9. Doug Hi hope all is well. I am aware of the issues it presents. I was able to sand it down so I get the proper fit. Unfortunately AMT had to go the 3 piece route for cost effectiveness back in the day.
  10. Thanks. But hold on now change in plans. I kind of messed up the rear portion with my feeble attempt to putty. This is what she looks like now. Have an idea what I want to do now. Based on this picture and my memories of the Allied Van Lines tractor from 45 years ago as it pertains to the original AMT WFL SD box.
  11. The old standard. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Hello everybody hope all are well. I am in the midst of my AMT White Freightliner build. If any of have built this kit (can be SD or DD) I’d love to see photos of your work. Thanks and have a great day.
  13. I puttied and lightly sanded the top seam last night. No cratering or non smoothness in that area. Rivets look relatively unaffected. I will do the same with the seam where it curves downward on the sides of the cab behind the doors. My question is after that’s done should I reprime to make sure all looks good?
  14. Hello all hope everyone is well. I have the MPC McEwen and Prudhomme dragsters and have color questions. For the Mongoose I would think that Testors Star Spangled Blue would work. For the Snake’s ride I am thinking Tamiya TS47 Chrome Yellow. Am I on point with those choices? Also need to source proper front tires. Does anyone have a source for those? Any hello will be appreciated. Thank you.
  15. Stopped short. I had put this project as well as my BROB ‘20 Pete 359 on the back burner in favor of the LNT8000 dump truck. Or as I like to call it “The shiny new toy in the room syndrome”. However the Freightliner will resume this weekend. The lack of warmth in the Southern NJ area is a total bummer. However I will effort onwards. Thanks for asking. BTW how are your projects coming along?
  16. Dump bed assembly tonight. It’s getting there.
  17. I believe the front of the dump box may be a smidge too close to the cab. Seeing as I have already glued the hinge box in place what are my options to move the hinge box back slightly?
  18. More mocking up. Cab from my spares box. The wheels and tires will be different.
