  1. Primer then shot the lacquer. I know you don’t have to prime but I generally do.
  2. Hi guys. Sorry if the pictures show it up as something different. It's Testors One Coat Gloss Bronze as seen below.
  3. Thanks. Kind of leaning towards this 1970’s love ok.
  4. Got the second color on. Have never done a two tone paint scheme. Going for that mid 1970’s look. I’m pretty satisfied with it so far. Considering eyesight not so good, arthritic hands, and low self confidence.
  5. Thanks Tom. Can’t wait to see the 352
  6. Sprayed the base coat in Model Master White lacquer. Will let cure a few days. Then tape off and spray the second coat. May use Testors One Coat or Tamiya lacquers. Hope they play nice together.
  7. Mica Blue Park Green Mica Red. I think these are the closest colors to some Kenworth trucks I have seen online.
  8. Hello group hope all are well. I am going to be redoing a project I started a couple of years back. I have an AMT KW K123 I started. Originally painted her with a yellow cab, and a Brown frame and associated parts. Now I don't have a ton of successes I can claim but on this one I did. I successfully was able to attach the suspension and the axles out of alignment. Wow. So I have decided to start the project over with a new rear suspension system and repainting the cab and frame. The frame is easy. I will repaint it in semi gloss Black, and aluminum tanks. The cab color is the difficult choice. I am looking at Blue, Green, or Red, and planning on doing it in a Tamiya lacquer. If anyone has an opinion I would appreciate it. Thank you.
  9. Here's pics of the "Boat Anchor". Just a few more touch up's and "Anchor's Away" we go.
  10. Snake thanks. BTW I really enjoyed it when you outed The Brain (Harold Hellman).
  11. Hello all. Hope everyone's well. I have a Monogram 1969 Dodge 440 Six pack, more commonly known as a Super Bee that I am going to be redoing. I have a bit of a glue smudge on the windshield that I want to remove. The model was built a couple of years back. Any suggestions for removing this nuisance. Thank you.
  12. Worked on the frame last night. Engine went in fine, however the radiator fought me a bit. She's in now but slightly out of alignment. Will work on her tonight AGAIN. Hopefully I can tame the beast and get her to line up a bit better. Also had a question about the exhaust that goes on the right side from the turbo. After I attach it to the turbo where do I cement it on the right side of the frame? Or do I not have to?
  13. Jeff, I'd love to visit it someday. Got into the heavy duty trucks as a 14 year old back in 1975 and 2 years later Brockway ceased operations. That was a shame. A couple of outfits from my era Penn Yan, and DeFazio Express ran Brockway units. Ahh those were the days.
  14. Jeff thanks. BTW I just noticed you're from Huskytown. To me one of the more forgotten/under appreciated makes in the history of the heavy truck industry. Shame they went belly up in 1977. Loved the 759, 762, and 457's when I was a teen back in the mid 1970's. One of these years I'll pony up for a resin kit.
  15. Yes I believe so but did it in red prior to knowing about the blue. Oh well.
  16. In my haste to put the side windows in I messed them up. The canopy glue didn't work, and hit the glass with Tamiya cement to tack in place and the glue hit the glass. Not good. So I will have to search for replacements so project is slightly on hold.
  17. Kerry as do I. I always (based on the ERTL Transtar kits instructions sheets, and decals) associate the make with the Midwest.
  18. I am patterning this build after the below Transtar 4070B. Although my shade of Yellow is slightly lighter.
