  1. Just completed another great trade with b-body fan (Michael P. Stevenson). Great guy to deal with.!!
  2. Just took delivery of the new Gallaxie Limited '47 Fleetmaster Coupe, The new Moebius '69 F-100, and the MPC R-2 tri-axle gravel trailer. So many ideas in my head at the moment, its hard to decide which one to tear into first!!! The new '47 coupe is NICE guys!!!
  3. That commercial was a SCREAM!!! LOL!!
  4. Have to agree with you on that. LOL!!
  5. Now THATS COOL!!!! Pretty good idea using cabinet magnets as hold downs.
  6. Can't wait to get my hands on mine. Remember the "Gas Monkey Garage" episode when they took a 48 or so Chevy coupe and rebuilt it? Nothing fancy, just newer suspension, better brakes. updated engine and electronics, but outside almost completely stock. Painted semi gloss black with wide whites and chrome reverse rims and a slight rake..... I have had a vision of that build in my head ever since they announced this kit!! Can't wait !!!
  7. This just became my FAVORITE thread!!! Keep the eye candy comin Terry!! Lovin those close ups of the Rockwell rear set up.
  8. My Dad had a 1970 Chrysler Newport alot like the blue one. Nice builds sir!! I wish someone would do a resin repop of these in resin. I have fond memories of that car.
  9. Thankfully it was just a phase. At the time i was working on "one of those" kits and got very frustrated. I think we have all had a kit like that. I have 35+ years of accumulated tools and kits. Some of them are one of a kind P/E benders and the like. I think I would have done my fathers memory a great disservice by selling the tools he made. I still get alot of enjoyment and happy memories out of modeling. When I hit a slump, I just set everything aside and come back to it later. Life and everyday happenings often give me the distraction I need to come back to the build with fresh perspective. OR i come back to the build to get AWAY from stuff. depending on the situation.
  10. Amen. I put all my stuff away, and even thought about selling off every bit of it. After a week or two, I got the old spark back, and was back building in about a month. Its hard to gauge the ebb and flow of what motivates hobbies sometimes, and we all go through slumps, but we all find a way to pick up the brush and glue again. Its in our blood. We all share this strange addiction called "modeling"
  11. WOW!! I knew you liked Mustangs, but you also did dem Mopars justice too!!! Outstanding work, Ken!!
  12. Big Thanks to Superpeterbilt (Terry Hymel), for some pretty hard to find parts!! He went above and beyond to make the trade work. Pleasure to trade with and would trade with him any time!!
  13. I just finished restoring an old english 3 speed. Even with only 3 gears in an internal hub, those things are temperamental. Finding good usable or rebuildable parts for those bikes is getting harder by the day.
  14. Man, that bike would be a bear on a hill climb. Still neat though.
  15. Lol. I'm gonna behave myself.
  16. Yeah , i figure the Big Sky country would dry them out pretty quick. I still need to go down and inspect the damage to all the other stuff. It may have just gotten the boxes. I see a move for my stash in my future. Could have been worse, i guess.
  17. Busted waterlines.....I'm by no means a plumber, but i got the water stopped, and fixed everything. The water got a good part of my kit stash. Any of you guys looking for some soggy kits???
  18. Sharp paint, and car!! EXCELLENT work sir.
  19. 64 1/2 mustangs had generators, 65's had alternators. Or so I've been told. That and some side trim was the only real difference between those two years.
  20. Me too. Our neighbor had one when I was a kid.
  21. John. how would i go about getting into R/C drag racing? I've been toying with the idea for quiet awhile. I just need some details. Thanks.
  22. Does that come in a kit?
  23. Another great build!! I have a question about the headlight buckets on this kit. I'm building that same kit right now, and the back edges of the headlights don't seem to fit flush with the fender curve. Is that just a kit issue? I know that the headlights are molded with offsets for right and left hand sides, but I was wondering if you ran into the same issue.
