  1. Big Thanks to Superpeterbilt (Terry Hymel), for some pretty hard to find parts!! He went above and beyond to make the trade work. Pleasure to trade with and would trade with him any time!!
  2. I just finished restoring an old english 3 speed. Even with only 3 gears in an internal hub, those things are temperamental. Finding good usable or rebuildable parts for those bikes is getting harder by the day.
  3. Man, that bike would be a bear on a hill climb. Still neat though.
  4. Lol. I'm gonna behave myself.
  5. Yeah , i figure the Big Sky country would dry them out pretty quick. I still need to go down and inspect the damage to all the other stuff. It may have just gotten the boxes. I see a move for my stash in my future. Could have been worse, i guess.
  6. Busted waterlines.....I'm by no means a plumber, but i got the water stopped, and fixed everything. The water got a good part of my kit stash. Any of you guys looking for some soggy kits???
  7. Sharp paint, and car!! EXCELLENT work sir.
  8. 64 1/2 mustangs had generators, 65's had alternators. Or so I've been told. That and some side trim was the only real difference between those two years.
  9. Me too. Our neighbor had one when I was a kid.
  10. John. how would i go about getting into R/C drag racing? I've been toying with the idea for quiet awhile. I just need some details. Thanks.
  11. Does that come in a kit?
  12. Another great build!! I have a question about the headlight buckets on this kit. I'm building that same kit right now, and the back edges of the headlights don't seem to fit flush with the fender curve. Is that just a kit issue? I know that the headlights are molded with offsets for right and left hand sides, but I was wondering if you ran into the same issue.
  13. Sweet build!!
  14. Wasn't a year of service in the military mandatory at one time? I joined the Army when I was 17.
  15. Those who display the stars and bars in a deliberate display of racism deserve all the negative feedback in the world. Same with the Nazi swastika. I also build Military models of German subjects. It doesn't mean I'm racist. I just think the Germans built some pretty cool stuff. I'm still glad they lost the war though. To display ANY of these things to African Americans or people of the Jewish faith is to be completely Politically tone deaf. But to get bent out of shape over a decal on a model??? Really???
  16. Let him lock it. It won't change a darn thing until The PC BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH is handled.
  17. I'm offended and hurt by your reference to "our share of knuckleheads". Does that give me any PC cred? Which group are you referring to? the Group who is Trying to enjoy a good build? or the group who started the food fight in the first place. Please clarify. Meaning Harry. My point is this: Political Correctness is a two edged sword. It cuts both ways. When applied to a situation, it can be flipped around on its user, and THEY are in the cross hairs. PC is a dangerous thing to play with. But its fun to turn the tables on them from time to time...
  18. Good one Chuck. LOL!!
  19. Not me. I'm good.
  20. Even Daisy Kevin? Besides the Charger, she was the best looking!!!
  21. Bob. Very true. I wouldn't want the job. Harry has a full plate, no doubt. But hopefully someone with a clear head can step up.
  22. Some of the sig lines are new. Just looking over some of the new ones lately. Its supposed to be an "all inclusive forum" right? Ok, on that thought, lets move forward to the post of the general. The picture of the stars and bars offended someone, the food fight commenced, and the thread was locked. Now THAT individual, or individuals, has imposed THEY"RE political outlook on everyone else on this forum. And the forum is supposed to be free of political views from ANYONE. period. Is that not a violation of forum policy? If the food fight had turned nasty, with a lot of cursing and such, most definitely shut it down. But from what I read, unless it was cleaned up a lot, didn't go down that road. Political Correctness has no place in modeling.
  23. Yeah snake, I thought I saw a lot of new posters on the boards the last couple of months or so. That may explain it. Its a car model forum for cripes sake. Where does PC fit in here anyway? The Moderators already have guidelines posted about conduct on the boards, what can, and can't be discussed. So now we have a whole other "layer" of content that we have to tip toe around ? Show me in black and white these unwritten rules that we're supposed to follow, and let me judge for myself if its PC or not. Until that happens, Its just another way to control content by the few over the many,. nothing more. Let The Moderators handle that.
